Didnt they say they would extend it because of the outage

 

They talked about extending the christmas gifts, don't know if it meant the special crate event though

 

This is what happened for me, when I was able to finally log in on Saturday the 27th (PS4), I was given the gifts immediately as were all my crewmates, etc. who logged in on the 27th. I don't know how long they extended that, however.

 

 

Last 42 minutes of the event.

 

I hope the SC's continue to fall (not as often as during the event, but more often than non-event times)

From Oct. 1 2013 to July 5 2014 I only saw a total of three Special Crates fall.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if there were more crates dropped if and when Heists are released

 

I think people that logged in any time up to and including January 1 got the gifts.

 

I though they said they were going to make the purchased firework launchers permanent with purchasable ammo following this event.

The event should have ended on the 2nd but it ended on the 5th. Many people asked this before and I don't get how they didn't know.

Well this is it, one of my best times in GTAO/GTAF. Thanks to all of you who participated, it was a hell of a ride. We can all call ourselves seasoned crate hunters now. As for now, a compilation of all my crate selfies (I haven't uploaded them all, yet there's more to be added):

I've been having a bitch of a time finding populated lobbies, and I was super pissed that I wasn't going to get the one shirt I really, really wanted. After hours of no luck, I FINALLY managed to get in a lobby with people, and a crate, ended up scoring it at 6:58. Mother of god, I'm going to have a heart attack.

Had lots of fun with this event really got back into GTA as a whole again! Only missed out on two t's all in all but yeah, made IT really fun again logging in, anticipating other players moves etc! Roll on the next one

It resets everywhere in the world at the same time, it is based on Greenwich Mean Time 12 AM, so 6 PM American Central Time the day before, so 12 AM GMT on the 5th is 6 PM Central Time on the 4th

Could be a fluke, but my guess is, the event is over.
