I got 3-8 crates from the same session multiple times, no dice.

 

Feel free to add Blarney/J-Lager suggestiosn but "this is how I got mine" does not equal "this is how it works". Data, not conclusions please...

I think its safe to say at this point the j lager and blarney hats were so immensely rare it was just a random glitch. It happening more often on old gen would make sense. It also seems pretty much 100% that rockstar is saving these hats for a later date because they have not had a legitimate scheduled drop ever for them. A St. Pattys day event weekend seems likely. Or maybe theyll give them to us on the 4th of july so we have some "new" beerhats to go for this year.

Really? I collected 3 crates from the same session that gave me the Benedict Beer Hats on PS3. I jumped session and collected another crate but once again ended up with the same beer hat. No sign of Pisswasser Beer Hat at all.

But somebody got butthurt over the last one. I got there first, blew up the guards and grabbed the crate. The guy places a $1000 bounty on me. lol so scared.

Collected the hat. Died while parachuting down to the special crate, respawned, ran as fast as possible to the crate drop site, couple of guys with Turismos and Zentornos appeared, blasted them in the face.

Aww...that sucks. At least 4 players needed in a lobby to trigger the special crate drop notification.

For the sake of data:

 

I have collected 4 crates between 7:00 PM EST and 1:00AM EST. They have all been Benedict Beer Hats. I am sitting here waiting on my 5th with a few people in the lobby (one of which is in a chopper). Let's see if I can be lucky enough to have a crazy story to post back here..

 

EDIT: Got there a step too late and got beat to it. My money is on the Benedict hat... goodnight all, good luck tomorrow! Here's to hoping for K-JAH, Blarneys or J-Lager!
