Just one more snow crate rush, then sleep I kept

telling myself. Well it arrived and off I flew in the Buzzard. Destroyed 3 NPCs and landed on an angle. Got out and ran round the front and the angled rotors caused my suicide! Recovered close

by, shot another NPC then promptly ran into a Blue parachute or bike race corona!! Cancelled out and the crate was gone. Lol. Man that was pathetic.

 

Next New session found me with four players on a 5 hour notification, they all dropped out and I got the crate no problem. Still exciting as ever. Cheers.

With the event nearing an end I might as well help to will my wanted items into existence. Here's to hoping they extend the event and give us a chance to receive the items that were unobtainable due to the network errors!

Nope, I believe R* has fix that problem. Went into the special crate drop's green circle plenty of times during the Christmas Event but never once I saw the crate failed to drop shortly after that.

Some guy in a helicopter and a couple of other guys got to the area first and they were having a shoot out with each other and the NPC gang that turns up for the crate, so with my faithful Bullet, I put my foot to the floor, drove straight through the shootout and stopped next to the crate, got out the car and claimed it. Yoink!

I was afraid for that to happen as well but yesterday I shot all the 4 crate guards (had to do that quickly since I saw two players were coming after the crate as well) and luckily the crate still dropped and I got it. Must be very annoying to see the pilot gets spooked and the crate drop is cancelled, especially after you have waited for 20 minutes for the crate to drop.

I don't really know the exact reason for the spooky pilot but as far as I can tell, the arm smugglers would take the crate after some time if no players are going after it. I'm not really sure about the time but my random guess would be around 10 minutes.

The one time I had 'pilot spooked' message, I was strafing another player a fair bit outside the green circle in a Lazer. The circle was empty.

 

I suspect it's to do with 'congested airspace'.

Today I killed a guy that literally was picking up the crate, when i shot him he actually dropped the crate, didnt know that was possible, i was just in time i think... also killed his friend in the car trying to help him lol.. probably my best crate yet... I literally saw this guy picking it up as i shot him and it was all mine.

Yes that problem seems to be fixed. I thought we was still talking about the blue job corona circles. See the top post of this page.

I eventually got into a public lobby and was able to stay long enough to pick up the KDST shirt. That the one other person left while I was flying to it did help too.

I hope so too. If the 5th is counted in then I'd say K-Jah, Bounce FM and Benedict. But they really should just extend the event to be long enough to distribute all the items IMO

Wtf? I didn't get my items this way, I got the Base5 Tee legit and it dissappeared. I collected it during the "Unable to save game. Rockstar game servers are unavailable" message. I left my ps4 on overnight hoping it would save succesfully but it didn't. Message was still there the next day.

So I filled in a ticket explaining the situation and got it back.

Crates still dropping since the snow stopped?. I've not had a crate notice at all since the snow stopped.

Keep switching lobbies, they're dropping for sure. Remember you need at least 4 people and no other freeroam event has to be going on. E.g: If there's a HPV in the session the crate won't drop until it expires/gets destroyed/gets turned in.
