GTA Online, inventory menu doesn't open anymore.

Well I have the issue of NOT being able to use my interaction menu on my main character after buying Festive masks. On my second character no masks and no problem using interaction menu. BUT early this morning R* quickly hot fixed a money glitch within hours cause I could make $250,000 a race!!! REALLY R*, I bought GTA V for PS3 & PS4 to play online with my friends, NOT to watch others play it on Twitch!!!

Ok so I went on to R* Social Club and apparently R* already knows about this issue but to take this further I suggest posting a comment here...

no its not fixed but extendunlimited? found a way to atleast access the menu...start a gang attack while lagging and the menu will come up allowing you to change options not in the start menu.

Strangely not everyone has this issue, I dunno why..

 

But what happens (on PS4 for me) is when I try to hold the touchpad down to bring up the interaction menu (where you can turn on/off passive mode and other things) it doesn't appear and instead my frame rate drops in half, probably more and it doesn't sort itself out until I kill myself. When I kill myself and respawn the frame rate is back to normal, but the interaction menu still doesn't work for me..

Are we sure it's the masks causing it? I was having problems getting the new outfits to show at first. I had to get all the individual clothing items to get the outfits to work. Also, has anybody experiencing this glitch bought any of the items during the last Christmas update? I did and when I first went to the mask shop I couldn't even see the new Christmas masks just the ones I bought last Christmas. So basically I'm wondering if this is mainly a glitch for people who already owned some of the Christmas items.

I also deleted the game & reinstalled it without fixing the problem, So don't bother doing that!

I can confirm that the masks are causing it, I will explain exactly when this first happened to me on Friday night. So, like many of us as soon as I heard of the update I went and booted up my console (PS4). I launched GTA V, went into Online and headed straight to the gun store, bought my weapons then hosted a mission to get started. At this moment my inventory was working just fine, as I usually put a GPS location, equip body armor and such. Once I finished a couple, I decided to go see how much the Festive clothing costs, so I went to a SubUrban nearby Vespucci, and was pleasantly surprised to find out all the items were there & for free. Shortly after that I launched a few jobs with some randoms (mainly races) and after a few sucessfull ones I went back to free roam with some dude who was driving a real nice dark green Manana we robbed a few liquor stores, gangsta style, getting chased by the police and all that sh*t, was really enjoying myself on the game right then. My interaction menu was working, because once we had lost the Wanted level, we split for a while and I ordered my Bati via the "request personal vehicle" option and here was when I went to the Beach and stopped at the Masks shop to see what they look like, if they are free & eventually looking for new ones aswell. Now, exactly what I did, I selected each mask, confirmed purchase, and left the shop with the one I would wear immediately. That's where my new friend came back with his bad ass car to see me, he also purchased the Masks, we got in his car and found ourselves driving towards Downtown LS, some guy with cops on his back came across our path and the Cops crashed into us, off course causing an immediate 2 star Wanted level, gettin' shot at, we shot back and fled the scene which wasn't a piece of cake in his slow little open top Manana. I was severly wounded at one point and that's when I tried to bring up my interaction menu by pressing the touch pad for a second, as soon as I hit the button my game started lagging awfully to the point where I couldn't even shoot straight anymore, almost like the steady frame rate went down to 5 a second. So I quit, to Story mode, and went back Online to join my friend in the same session, first thing I did (you guessed it) tried to bring up my menu, same sh*t starts over again, that's when I was worried my controller might be damaged but that wasn't plausible because it never fell down and is almost brand new. I quit again but this time I left the game & turned off the console. Went back on, and tried to see if story mode was suffering the same issue but nope, at that time I already had a suspicion. So I loaded up my secondary female character that I basically just created for some extra garage space, once Online I hit my touch pad and surprise surprise, no lag or any frame drops, menu shows up instantaneously, off course I hadn't bought anything with her at all, so there you got it not so hard to figure out, what bugs me the most is that it has been an ongoing issue for the whole week-end and now it's monday evening where I live. Sorry for the ultra long post, I just wanted to show you in detail what has happened to me and why I am 90 percent sure the masks are the ones triggering it.

I did the L from richards majestic to suburban, then ammunation, then the tattoo shop, played a bit, inventory was fine

 

logged in later to pick up the masks and instant f*ckery when I try and use my inventory. Maybe its a conflict with something we already own, or the new tattoos or maybe even the christmas hats

 

I can confirm I own every item there is to be owned, maybe this is the problem

Someone here on the forums also suggested the wast amount of items we own already could be the cause, but who knows ? I also discovered that my character when getting on a motorcycle is not putting on the standard helmets anymore but instead chooses to wear those headsets you equip when flying a helicopter, but then again that could be related to my current in-game hairstyle...

My guy puts on his regular helmet, the shatter pattern, but when he takes it off its a yellow motocross looking one in his hands

 

Wonder if its related to some of the complaints of other DLC items missing or I think I read one about regular clothing for females missing?

 

I don't really care why actually, its not my job. I'd give the DLC back at this point. I like how they offer to subscribe to their page for all the latest updates on this issue, but never update the page and won't until it's fixed. Useless twats lol

Haven't been on yet, but just wondering, did any of you guys delete the dlc update and then tried to download the patch cause that's what I am about to do, see if that works.
