I think we owe a big thanks to a member of this forum named Djeli who came up with the race car liveries and sent them to R* and to those who supported him. We're finally starting to see an improvement in the racing the aspect of GTA.

Xbox 360 hasn't got the content yet, just the update.

Thought: you have to be careful with placement yourself, but proximity mines perhaps make a useful, cheaper alternative to ignition bombs.

For some unbeknown reason the content pack for Xbox 360 has yet to arrive.

The XBOX 360 content pack has some problems, i talked to XBOX LIVE SUPPORT and they said the developer (R*) is cooking (lol)with the update because it's a different platform. Most likely they need to sort some things out with it. Here is the proof:

That person obviously has no idea what they're talking about. They aren't even aware of the fact that an update was released today.

Aproximity Mines and NPCs

 

I don't like that the aproximity mine also detonates when NPCs come too close. I placed one at the door of Ponsonbys, drove off and only 5 seconds later I heard it exploding. I drove back and saw a NPC corpse lying on the ground. I see it can be useful in missions, but in free roam I'd rather don't have it like this.

So far I killed someone & blew up his car with the Homing Missile Launcher and I was killed by someone who lured me to an alley after he placed there a Proximity Mine. This update is awesome!

True. Someone was shopping in the clothing store at the mall near the popular LSC and they had their Adder right by the door. I thought, "Gee, that's pretty close, I'd rather not get that insurance bill and BS warning. Hmmm....I wonder if their door is open so that I could move the Adder." Sure enough, door open, moved Adder, put proximity right by the door. Player comes running out because he sees me near his car...
