Content and framing is ace but the effects are a bit heavy. If the editor gave us more control over telecine and colourisation you could take out some specifics like the blue/purple hues and it would fit much better.

7/10 ^nice line up ... good shot ... lighting's off though ... needs a filter (Thermopylae or something) and shoot it at later in the day for better lighting/shadows/colour. also you might want to shoot it from on top/ higher angle if that makes any sense.

Too many people rely on filters too much. Nothing wrong with just having a good, strong, clean image.

 

Don't be such a purist. Filters can make an image that much better when used correctly.

 

And they can also ruin it. I use filters and don't when they are not needed. Too many people think it has to be automatic, that a natural image is somehow automatically inferior. For me, if you have to rely on filters to enhance the picture, you are probably hiding your lack of ability to take a decent picture.

 

Back on topic. 7.5/10 Good image. Looks a bit like Karl Urban, but a wider framing and maybe some acbground scenery wuld have made it more interesting.
