Why does pirate version of GTA IV work much better than the genuine co

I Downloaded and installed the cracked version of GTA IV and installed graphics mods and I have it on the highest settings and the game worked really well on my computer. I then bought a genuine copy of the game and it struggles to play the game in the lowest settings! Why is that? It doesn't seem to make any sense.

There's no proper answer to your question other than you getting lucky with the pirated version. If you're facing a problem with the genuine copy of your game, then you can start a new topic in the Help & Support forum detailing your problem, PC specs, game settings, etc.
