New Merryweather APC Discussion Thread

I know with heists FINALLY upon us and all of the new vehicles (ie Hydra, Hunter, Aircraft Carrier ect)... Did anyone happen to notice the wicked new Merryweather APC?!?

 

Based on the real life Marauder/Ghurka APC, the Merryweather version (like the jeep) appears to come to two variations (both hardtop and open back) and (presumably) can hold between 4-6 people plus a gunner operating a deployable .60 gun on a rotating turret!...I just hope to god it's not a pegasus vehicle...

 

It certainly looks just as if not more sick than the standard Merryweather Jeep, haha lets just pray it handles better!

 

So let's hear it friends, how high does this wicked new APC place on your buy list?!

Really want to buy, my only question is will it take more than one RPG to destroy it? Because it has a very substantial amount of armour.

They'll be Pegasus vehicles for sure, even if they are available outside of heists, which we won't know until it's released.

with this new heavy vehicles i hope it brings some changes to the bad sport system...

 

with hydra, hunter, apc, gunner rebel, i can see many PVs gettin destroyed.

 

it would be ridiculously easy to get into bad sport!

I belong to a Merryweather crew so this vehicle is my priority if it makes it to free roam via Pegasus, it looks great.

I would guess that It would most likely be a Pegasus vehicle if it's actually available outside of heists and such. If that were to be the case, that would not stop me from buying it.

It'll have to be a pegasus vehicle.Would ruin freeroam if everyone had it as a PV.Also that better be a standard mg.If it has incendiary rounds freeroams screwed.Still looking forward to it though,the ultimate crew vehicle

Like I said elsewhere, it looks like a cross between the Marauder and the Terradyne Inc. Gurkha - there's a fully-enclosed transport version in the trailer that looks like the LAPV variant, plus the mounted-gun version that looks like the RPV variant.

Needless to say, I'm definitely getting one of each if possible - ideally one for each character (not sure who'll be getting what as of yet...). Actually prefer it as a Pegasus vehicle - partly because if the Dubsta 6x6 is, this definitely should be, and partly because it means I don't have to lose valuable garage space to accomodate it!

Looks to be more of an armored truck than an APC. When I think APC, I think Strykers, Bradleys, etc.

 

I guess technically this armored truck is an APC simply because it's an armored personnel carrier, but I assumed when I clicked on this thread, you were talking about an APC like the one in GTAIV's "Ballad of Gay Tony" dlc.

I dont mind if its a Pegasus vehicle since i dont want to waste garage space. Itll only be 200 to replace anyway

I wouldn't mind if it's a Pegasus vehicle. As the guy above me said, only 200 to replace it. But I'll love to have this as a PV though.

This vehicle is based on the car that The Rock drove in Fast 5 and Fast 6, hell yeah I'll buy it, even if it is Pegasus I only have one Pegasus vehicle atm anyway.

 

I think it will cost around the $1million range due to it's very strong ammo. I will be very dissapointed if it can't take at least one RPG before it blows up.

Why would you guys think for even a second that they would allow such a vehicle to be storeable?

 

Obviously if it's available outside of heists it would be a Pegasus vehicle or maybe spawn only at the army base...

Because it's the same size as the Dubsta 6x6 or Sandking XL and can easily fit in a garage... Unlike other types of vehicles!

Welp, I'm blind.

I don't even care if its a Pegasus vehicle. I normally drive around in the Barracks OL anyways. I can't wait to crush the people's puny little Evos in this. Hopefully it sends them as far as the Barracks does.

 

How about the SUV one is a garage vehicle and the armed one a Pegasus?

Seeing the screenshots and this new armoured vehicle makes me want to sing a love song.

I don't mind if it's a Pegasus vehicle or not. I will go to the nearest store and buy a lot of microsoft points just so I can afford it.

 

Also something came to my mind. Merrywheater, a private army, will get APCs while Fort Zancudo, an U.S army base, keeps it's very slow and outdated Crusaders and Barracks.
