wiizardii Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Simple - has the new gen gta v on PS4, Xbone, and to be PC changed your opinion on the game overall? It has kind of changed mine, because I always felt that GTA V was seriously not 100% of its own, after seeing screenshots after screenshots pre release in wich the world looked better than what it does in game, NG GTA V had to juist happen with the new graphics and overall improvements. Everything just feels better now and more fun, from just walking down the street to car rampage the game just feels overall 100% GTA V perfection. On the last gen, it felt imperfect, more like semi perfect or even just neuteral. Or maybe its me being picky, but that is what I think. Ped's walking around was a rare sight somtimes, every car park having no vehicles in them, small things but important things. Other little things too, buses now having more than 2 passengers, taxi's and buses not only in the city. MrDeSanta Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 I`ve always appreciated V aside from the flaws it has but now when i have NG V i`m even more impressed by it`s visuals. It has no match in the open world games. The world and environment is so gorgeous that you must really be blind not to appreciate it. And for a man such as me who loves nature that`s even better. Not many games has to offer a countryside environment and those who can aren`t even near NG V. The closest (or maybe even better competition) will come in march when RDR remaster will be released. But untill then NG V is No.1, the king of open world games. However aside from visuals there were no major changes. Vehicle damage system and gun sounds are pretty much the same, improvement in these aspects is barely noticeable. However i did notice improved audio sounds for explosions. I welcome this improvement since the LG had really terrible explosion sounds. I`m happy they finally gave Besra for SP. And few crazy cars like Zentorno. But all that aside, even if everything else aside from visuals would stayed untouched i would still be happy because like i said the world is awesome. Even if some activity (like colectables for example) bored the sh*t out of me in LG it doesn`t bore me anymore because no matter what i do, even if i just stand still, i still enjoy because the world feel so alive, active and beautifull. And draw distance is really unbelievably amazing. Whoever play NG now and don`t see any diferences i suggest you go and play LG again and i guarantee you you`ll appreciate NG far more. The visuals of NG are so good that they made LG V look like a 5 year old game. Yes, the diference is huge. Especially if you play it on bigger 1080p screen. Next Generation released and sh*t i sold the xbox 360 and got a PlayStation 4. Now looking back to it, it was one of the most stupid things i ever did. I get that some people feel like they need 1st-person, but some of the biggest complaints about last gen V, by far, were about the lack of foliage and lack of interiors. They have definitely added more foliage, but no where near where it should be. The idea of interiors must not have been so important to R*. What I mean is, some of the largests complaints about V still exist in the new version, but for some reason, so many have a different opinion now. For starters, the physics have been improved a bit, this has made driving a lot more fun. Off-roading finally feels crazy and spontaneous. The soundtrack is now awesome, but maybe it's because I like all types of music. GTA is definitely not about the graphics, but I like where Rockstar has taken it. First person is a cool feature and there is nothing wrong with it, but I feel that ng gtav reaaalllly really is trying to cater to the masses and possibly even children with how simple and easy it has become. That is a loss of respect for me, almost like "selling out". I'm sure r* would have got their sales no matter how the original turned out even, after all it is gtav. who wasn't gonna buy the new gta? So I don't see why things had to become so simplified. At the same time I can see how they've probably never put as much work in to a game as v and online, I can give props for that. Just to sum up what I'm saying, next gen made me realize that their goal might have been to make gta more of a realistic life sim game visually, instead of adding more function to the gameplay. I was happy with last gen, but I expected a overhaul of the gameplay, not so much visuals and first person. My opinion now is that they have conflicting priorities with what I feel they should be, which is a fun game, not a crime sim movie. Paying 120 bucks for the LG and NG version was a good investment for me. A few hundred hours of fun yet, while there are enough games around you pay 60 bucks for and all you get is sh*tty 6-8 hours of SP gameplay. There is more traffic and peds, not all the time but it can be surprising. The water foam thing is very exaggerated, check the screenshot thread. And they're going to fix the leaves, eventually lol Have you played current gen? it looks quite bad in videos, the traffic and peds, water foam, but when you're playing it, it's very different. It's still much better than last gen and worth full price, if you really like GTA V and wanted an advanced version anyway, if you wanted loads of new activities, clucking bell and stuff, then no, it's not worth it. It does have more value than a lot of current gen games, and a lot of people love the new stuff, the peyote are very different and a lot of fun, Trevor getting new clothes is a good thing, and the new weapons are good. And FP mode is really good, once you get used to it. But also funny in a silly way, i find it humorous. Taking it seriously because I don't make up some hilarious things, or bitch about the smallest things, doesn't mean i love rockstar, it just means i don't have unbelievably high standards sir. I'm disappointed by quite a few things in V, things I don't like, but it's the same with everything, I'm disappointed with life sometimes but that doesn't mean I hate it, I can really like life too. I don't moan about things I dislike because it accomplishes nothing, apart from making me look like the gamer equivalent of Paris Hilton (complaining is good, all the time though, depressing) It's the same for almost everyone on here I think, we all have things we dislike in the game, we just don't feel the need to tell everyone all the time.
