Well actually, the "fixed maps" from that thread is basically a very outdated version of this mod so you will only need the .dff fixes from that mod.

Nice to hear that, btw you should use this for converting the binary IPLs, much better than Binary Decompiler or IPL Helper.

 

You can convert lots of binary IPLs all at once, take a look at the last few posts I uploaded some batch scripts to convert all Binary IPLs in gta3.img (.ipl files must be at the same location as the .exe), but keep in mind that all 164 binary IPLs must be in there, otherwise the tool will create a bunch of empty files.

btw. batch allows to scan a directory for file and execute commands, you may want to learn about it

Yeah, I found out about that after I made these scripts, still learning how to use this type of stuff. But hey if they work fine it's all good :p

I decided to remove these flags, since I didn't find anything good to put there

 

other than that, the wrong rotations with the bus stops and added back 2 wrecked cars present on ps2

GTA SA Map Fixes is a early version of this very mod, sharing all the changes (ipl wise) the unofficial patch is packed into a whole .img, I have no idea what the author changed

 

 

In any event, if you find another map bugfixing mod that you think it's useful, feel free to merge the relevant changes. Report here and I might incorporate them in a future update.

Collision files and a few edited models (with broken NVC/Pre-light ugh...), but it ain't perfect it has some weird bugs.

 

I was working on fixing the collision bugs a few months ago but stopped due to streaming memory bug getting in the way, now that it's fixed I may get back to it.

I also think it would be better to have your IPL files in separate directories.

Binary files in "binary", text files in "text". Isn't it better idea?

Of course, but I have no idea how to actually do that in the script, feel free to edit the .bat files if you want to.

Of course, but I have no idea how to actually do that in the script, feel free to edit the .bat files if you want to.

 

It's very simple.

 

See how you have to give two paths to 'fastman92 processor'

 

/input_filename "countn2_stream1_binary.ipl"/output_filename "barriers1.ipl"

Oh now I understand what you meant, the reason I used the same filenames on both is because I wanted to see if the game would recognize the files in text format inside the IMG instead of binary, so having the same names is easier to copy them later on.

 

Sadly if the *_stream.ipl files are in text format inside the IMG the game just crashes, I guess that should have been expected :p

 

EDIT: And yeah I will try changing the paths as well.

Hmm, that's probably why the game crashed I forgot to remove the car section. I will try again today to see if it works.

About Unofficial Patch, I think the author only mentioned what he did in max. Most of corrections are from collision.

There is a file that fixes the LOD issue, I have it here...

However, I don't know who made it so I don't know if the creator would be happy if he found out.

Deadstroke - this mod share some changes, like the palm inside a house in idlewood (it's been removed to match ps2) buildings in aldea malvada and boxes inside K.A.C.C. The main problem is, I don't know what the author means by hole on the aircraft carrier, and I am not copy-pasting things from his mod.

Are PC exlusive (maybe xbox too) objects (garbage, boxes, crane etc.) removed only from classic ipls or from streamed one too?

both, but I didn't removed from the ordinary ipl, I set the z positions to -300

 

the game "expects" to find a certain number of lines on regular ipl's, and if it don't, it freaks out and breakes random things all around the map

That's odd. Usually there's some object that has ped attractor attached to it (in this case it could be SEAT_ON_BENCH_DAY_ONLY), but from that screen I don't see what could it be.

Might be something else.
