El Dorado
Due to console limitations (or design choices) the map of GTA: San Andreas on the ps2 version of the game is different from the PC version. The biggest difference is the vegetation placement, much more present on PC, but also props, like hydrants or boxes scattered around Los Santos map are missing on the PS2 version. On top of that, PS2 have some unique objects, like lights around Four Dragons Casino and parked cars around Red County, that are missing on PC for whatever reason. This modification brings the PS2 map to the PC. It was already available "unofficially" in the Map Fixes thread, but it seemed a little out of place, so now I'm releasing "officially" on my own thread. Ok, what about the "map fixes" on the title? San Andreas has a huge map, even by today's gaming standards. Thousands of buildings, trees, lampposts, you name it, GTA San Andreas have it placed somewhere on his map. We all know R* is a brilliant gaming company, but they are also lazy humans, and humans have a strong tendency to errors. I tried to correct some of the item placement errors (there are many of them, believe me). Hard to say exactly what I did, since I do not keep track of things (I'm lazy too) but I can say it features over 100 fixes, going from trees growing inside houses or on the sidewalks, lampposts placed higher on air and many other little things. Remeber, it's the little details that makes the whole thing better. Installations notes - The mod consists of IDE's, IPL's and Binary IPL's. For IDE's and IPL's you can simply replace the existing ones in the data/maps folder. For binary IPL's, you'll need modloader. Why? Because they go into gta3.img, and replacing it directly will cause problems due to how the game handles these files. You can find the newest modloader in here https://github.com/thelink2012/modloader/releases. march 2022 latest upate Edited March 30, 2022 by El Dorado bahraini_carguy, spartaque12, BMWSauberF1.08 and 46 others

Reyks
Glad you decided to make a thread for it After playing a bit with the PS2 map files I realised how much of a mess R* made with the PC object placement in Los Santos, seriously it seems they just started sticking trees in every empty spot they found(even on concrete), really one of the best examples of how rushed the PC port was. TWIST_OF_HATE
Probably it would be great to merge this ps2 map with map fixes by Aztecas_5, they use the same files. Actually, format c working with Aztecas_5 on map fixes, maybe that ps2 map alredy include latest fixes from there ?

Snowshoe
Nice job. works on SA-MP too (with modloader). Maybe you can include the LV map fixes for the police station garage and the city planning building/transfender (occluveg.ipl etc). I think it was in another thread. Also, does this have the missing parked cars (hotdog van in red county, and so on)? Maybe you could add the missing peds too. Danibug
El Dorado
LV Map fixes will be included. Yes, it does have the missing parked cars. And what do you mean by missing peds? I restored some of them, you can find the link in the mod index thread, but if you're talking about missing peds paths, than I can't do nothing to help.
