Weird Unintentional Spectate Glitch..

Every now and then I'll get online and spectate people while I do random stuff around the house. This is the second time it's happened in a very large time frame so I hope me posting this would get seen by R* and fixed somehow.

 

 

I do NOT know how to do this glitch, so I don't want to hear any bs troll posts how I'm some glitcher or this that and the other nonsense. I'm simply posting how it went down so it can possibly get fixed.

 

So when I'm spectating, sometimes randomly I'll get a kill on someone in the lobby. I don't know how this happens, as most of the time I'm not even at the controller. But I've seen it happen with my own eyes the 1st time.. didn't think nothing of it. That was a while ago, few months maybe.. then today I get a message from a random player asking how I killed him when I'm not even there. I literally wasn't even at the controller.. just sat down and checked time and seen the msg.

 

 

The first time I was spectating a player that was chasing another player, and the hunted ran into a gas station, exploding. But somehow I got the kill.. I didn't even step outside of the house, so it's not like I had C4 there or something that triggered the kill..

 

R*.. this is one of those retarded glitches that needs to be fixed!

 

EDIT: Oh yeah.. this is on old-gen so I don't know if this is happening on new-gen too. Ijs

Has anyone else had the luxury of getting free kills while spectating? Have you been killed by someone in their house and don't know how? Post it.

 

I hope this gets fixed soon.

was there a player who has bizzare K/Ds ?

if yes , there's possibility that person is responsible for this ( I.E making killfeed credited to u , thus getting blamed )

in certain mods/hacks , it includes absolute invisibility ( not visible from map , invisible model , not seen on player lists , etc ) . combining with killfeed credit manipulation , this makes very effective modification/hack

My best guess is that you got credited for someone else's kill, due to a bug.
