Heists requires people at rank 12 or above... REALLY?

Different level requirements for different heists would be much better. For example for an easy heist with basic equipment should be available to lvl 12 whereas a more complex heist which requires advanced weapons and vehicles should be available to, let's say lvl 50 and up.

What does it matter if low rank players are allowed to play heists? The high-rank based weaponry/vehicles are still rank locked so they won't be able to buy tanks or miniguns anyway.

It would be stupid to lock the heist mode, a mode that players have been waiting since before launch to play, and allow only the people who sat there and grinded their way up to higher ranks (or even cheated for those losers who did that)

I could care less but it should least be where you can buy a carbine riffle or Assult Shot gun.

Some people just annoy me. Rank does not indicate skill. I've seen a lot of high level players that are bad at the game. And no more of these unrealistic high level unlock demands. Rank 125+ for heists is what some people want? Really?

As a "lower level", I can agree with this. My brother is a level 85 I and I'm a level 32 (I don't really play a lot due to homework and school) and I've seen him in high level missions where some people just well suck. I occasionally play for him and help him grind missions and I've gotten pretty good at the game even though I'm personally only a level 32.

I trust that those complaining about levels being too low have never exploited any kind of glitch, nor farmed quick missions / races, in order to raise their RP more quickly?

&&, everybody keep in mind that the idea of doing Heists with "low-level" characters is already in singleplayer. Otherwise everyone you hire would already have their driving/shooting/hacking skills maxed. The whole point is that your team is comprised of individuals of varying skill & salaries.

Dorks.

Looks like some people here haven't played SP heists to keep disregarding low-levels.

Either that or they're the type of people who only get maxed out peeps, regardless of how high their cut is.

Anyway.... My minimum cut is 45%, but I'm the only getaway driver you'll need, level 100+.

Wouldn't be fair for PC users that start brand new, besides I doubt many group leaders will allow a low rank to play with them since they won't have access to better weapons and health... which means a much costly job than with higher levels.

And with the range of heists available, I'm sure one of them won't require much to do.

Overall, it shouldn't bother you.

Why does rank matter to anyone?

My Nan could reach rank 150 if she played the game day in and day out. Being a high rank doesn't necessarily mean you are amazing at the game, just means you've played it a lot.

Having the heists unlocked at level 12 just means everyone can play and enjoy them, and rightly so. Besides, most people will play heists with their crew or real life friends, so If that is the case, why would you care what level he/she was?

It just doesn't make sense; you meet Lester at level 10. Before meeting him you only do jobs for Simeon, Lamar and Gerald, small time thugs. Then Lester throws you to the biggest heists he has in store two levels later? With a mini SMG and a pistol? Then he says to the lvl 12 "I know you were complaining but you weren't ready yet" lol well he sure has grown those two levels. Maybe he got another hat in the meantime.

You gotta look at some jobs and compare. Some of the harder contact missions are around level 25 - 30. I'd say that is the perfect number range to unlock the heists.

What level is that mission that Lester gives where he says you need to get an apartment because he has big things planned?

Edit; found it, Landing Strip, unlocks at level 24.

"Some business associates of mine have come to me with a little market saturation problem. I need you to extract a plane loaded with rival product and deliver it to Sandy Shores Airfield. I'd advise taking along a sniper if I were you. Convince me you're professional and I'll have more jobs like this. Oh, and get an apartment, something with space to prep properly. I don't like mistakes."

It doesn't matter to me if a level 12 joins. They have access to two dlc rifles & a marksman rifle. Its all about the co-op. We are in it together & plus im sure all of us here are more then capable of bringing it home for team if they die.

Pretty sure this is the most intelligent comment but forth in this post!

Maybe just maybe there will be lower level heist missions? I doubt level 12 players can do all the heist missions that's will be available?

This.

A couple of hours ago I played with a rank 163 player and the dude has no idea how to play. At all.

I can already see the plethora of YouTube videos showcasing crew leaders trolling their heist crew members with sh*tty payouts and posting their reactions. I'm amazed R* trusts their player base enough to allow them to NOT keep all the money for themselves.

Tell me then how will the heist leader assess skill? Ask for a psych exam and references? Credit check? Not saying I disagree with you but in relation to needing players with access to armor, weaponry and psychical capabilities, we have no other baseline to use. I would have no problem with Lvl 12 players IF I knew them and knew their skill-set.

What is the issue? Why would you ever play a heist with someone you aren't friends/crewmates with? That's the whole purpose of crews, to play with people who aren't idiots.

Great. I'll just hire a bunch of random level 12 players for a huge heist. I'm sure it will go swimmingly.

Did you guys forget about the whole "heist leader pays for all the needed equipment upfront" thing? It won't matter if you're level 12 or level 666, the heist leader buys all the necessary things for the heist and gets paid when the heist is over, while the crew members get paid for each Heist prep mission and the finale.

So really, being level 12 doesn't change much.

Exactly this, as well as the part where you can choose to be the Heist Leader and - brace yourselves - invite whoever you want to do the heist with you.

I don't see how there is any issue here.

It says 'rank 12 AND ABOVE', which almost certainly means there'll be more 'advanced' heists. I would assume, R* would diversify the difficulty level between them.

Heists being locked only to lv75+ is a terrible idea, as that'll mean many casual GTA O players (which there are a lot of - certainly more than us 'hardcore' fans) will miss out on it. Remember, R* makes the content for the entire 35M+ userbase.

110% this!

OP says the truth. I personally think that you should be around 125 to begin or play a heist, but once again R* has to be noob friendly. First with the low rank rifles and dlc weapons, secondly with this. What's next? Low level minigun unlock, anyone?

I was in lobby with 3 other LV125+ players doing (well, attempting to do) missions. We have failed 4/6 missions due to destroying the trailer/documents, time running out, and beaching the boat. After those failures, the players didn't even want to restart - just moved on to next mission. So, yeah, rank isn't a guarantee of reliability. For that, you'll need to play with trusted players (friends/crew) and use active communication. By the looks of it, heists will require crew members, which is exactly the right idea - not an arbitrary number next to an unknown person's name. Edited by gorskiegangsta

A Level 12 who is experienced can still help out. A Christmas n00b you can tell is a christmas n00b no matter their level. You can tell by how bad they are just by watching the death blips and the status screen at the end. I wonder if there is a way to vote kick a scrub crew member off if he is bring your crew down and a hindrance and bring another crew member in.

I hope so, but I also have a feeling this will lead to griefing too.

It just like SP heists. You can choose the low cut guy and take a risk or you can pay more for a more skilled player. Quit complaining, you can control if low ranks are in your crew by being the crew leader.
