Heists requires people at rank 12 or above... REALLY?

The crew leader decides the cut. So for example if you are the leader and don't like that level 12 you could be a d*ck and give them a small cut.

 

Also it's already hard enough for some people grinding levels. I can't imagine the rage if they set it at 100 or higher.

 

thats what's worrying lol, there will be douchebag leaders who take 91% and only leave 3% for the other 3 people or something

91% is very generous imo - I'll be taking more than 95% if it's an option

I'm going to admit I haven't read the entire thread. I think that heists should be level 100. Grind it out as a crook before you hit the big time. Seems fair that way.

Umm... guys? You're kind of forgetting that the vast majority of players (i.e. money) have a life outside of GTA, right? A casual day-one player probably isn't nowhere near rank 75, let alone 100.

If you play gta for even an hour a week you should be over lv70

if by day one you mean day one from 2013 release then any casual could be easily above 75

i don't think rank should matter.

 

i assume they'll be like survivals an stuff though i think they'll probably end up with certain level unlocks for specific heists. though as others have said rank doesn't mean skill i don't play much o.o but.. i'm like rank 105? i think at last check :D an i almost always do something stupid to get myself killed i mean i have my moments of seeming 'super' skilled <.< but those are extremely rare. and are entirely luck based. personally i think everyone should be able to play an have fun i don't think rank should really exist i think all that should matter is people play how they want and they have fun if you have the money to buy something you should be able to buy it. thats how the real world works o.o i don't have ot be super successful at something to 'buy' anything as long as i have the money i can obtain it as long as i know where to go o.o the only think i think rank should be for is perhaps to show someones level of experience in how long they've played , or perhaps modify it so that rank reflects skill level. instead of simply being a matter of playing long enough to obtain it.

 

or tie items more into achivements than to rank. it'd be nice if there were more items you had to unlock through completeing challenges than by simplying repeating the same missions 100 times till you are content with your level/money

I'll take a low level vs. a greedy higher. The only thing I'm worried about is that outside this forum i've never talked to anyone online. I would do heists myself if that were an option. I'm getting nervous that I'll actually have to be social.

well in my case I don't use a mic when I am playing with people who speak english because I can't speak it too well, but it is still easy to do missions with others, at least for me, because not much communication is required and when it is, someone who can talk in the group will take the lead

If the better heists aren't locked to 75+ I'll genuinely be pissed. The whole point/story of GTAO is to work your way up the ranks.

 

If after level 12 you can do petty heists like robbing a small bank or ATM machines, sure hell yeah I can agree with that. But everyone should have to put the time into the game to do the better heists.

So you're saying people who didn't transfer shouldn't be able to enjoy the only thing that makes you actual money? Or casual players that don't have much time?

Did you guys forget about the whole "heist leader pays for all the needed equipment upfront" thing? It won't matter if you're level 12 or level 666, the heist leader buys all the necessary things for the heist and gets paid when the heist is over, while the crew members get paid for each Heist prep mission and the finale.

 

So really, being level 12 doesn't change much.

Maybe heists will have different skill levels too. Easy, Normal and Hard, just like the missions.

I quite like this idea- gives everyone a chance to at least try the heists. I'm sure their level won't matter that much, it's a matter of teamwork and communication. Honestly, how many of us are going to just do heists with randoms? Most will play with their crew. Level doesn't matter in this case.

I think this is bad idea. So people witch a such low rank will earn +100k $ and a lot of RP? It should destroy the contribution of people who have spent a lot of hours to be at high rank. IMO Heists should be available at rank 75 minumum... It's like a pickpocket has become a day-to-day to professional thieft. C'mon R*...

 

Although yes, the level is set at a FAR too low level IMO, one thing I did noticed reiterated directly from R* is that it is going to take ALOT of money in order to complete a heist anyway... And since the heists are (presumptively) going to be in essence, multifaceted missions that will all need to be completed in order to earn the big money at the end... I think it's safe to assume, that unless that level 12 has a good crew who is willing to carry him/her, there is'nt a chance in hell they are going to be able to make it all the way through... Just my .2 cents! :)

I'm a casual player of Grand Theft Auto Online, i work 5 days a week, i don't have time to grind to level 100+

everyone paid their money for the game let us all play together, harmoniously

You should play the game more than 30 minutes before being able to do heists imo. It doesn't even make sense that you get off the plane, meet Lamar and then do a big heist.

 

Lester even said something in the trailer like " I know you been complaining, but you weren't ready yet"

 

You casual nubs should have to grind missions and play the rest of the game like we've been doing for over a year. :)

 

Not that I really care, I won't do heists with low levels anyway.

Agreed. There is different ways to communicate that is sufficient for me. And i'm sure heists are going to be more narrated compared to contact missions.

 

I'm half brazillian but i can't remember my portuguese for the life of me.

Yup, my 2nd character was born with a 10 car luxury apt on Alta with an Entity XF....1st character still doesn't have his dream Grotti stinger gt because of him lol

I think its funny that people are so worried about this. The only way this hurts you is that in some way it feels like it diminishes your accomplishment of being level xxx.

 

I think it would be better if there wasn't a level cap because who the f*ck cares.

 

I don't think there is match making because in the IGN interview they say the leader is responsible for choosing the crew. If you don't want to play with low levels you probably wont be.
