I'm certainly not gonna get hyped for something and then wait 3 or 6 months for it to release, imagine the torture?. I learnt that lesson in waiting 2 years for gta v to launch. So right now I'm gonna pretend it doesn't exist until a release date is given, remember "early" usually means late with R*. So are you on the same boat with me or are you on a aircraft carrier?

Yea freaking rockstar showing us some thing that wont come out for months having me thinking about nothing but the Hydra

IMO expect this:

- Nothing more to be mentioned about Heists until with or just after the PC Release (27th January).

- No TU for PS4/Xbone after 4 weeks, expect the same for PC Release.

- Heists announced to be released late February sometime in March.

So Yes = No Hype. Also, how can we trust anything R* says about Release Windows?

It was Heists are the next Free Update for ALL Consoles. Now PC has been added to the list so the Update is most certainly not dropping before 27th January.

Really I am now more interested in what TU is next, unless R* expect PS4/Xbone to wait until March for an Update and PS3/360 to have been waiting since October!

I don't agree because R* announced heists completely, as well as having a video of it.
The hype is real, and you're a loser if you think otherwise. *sarcasm*

I do not trust trailers. Trailers are designed to hype.

Proof that the hype is real.

I'm confident it'll be here by February latest (GTA trailers = serious business). You best believe I'm stoked, it looks much better than I imagined. I figured it'd just be a few robberies at different locations with not much replay value. BOY WAS I WRONG.

It's perfect that you MUST have 3 other people to work with - no more, no less. I love it, it sounds like it's definitely polished, with a clear vision of what R* wants to accomplish.

To top it all off, it's free. Why complain about the wait when it's gonna be better than originally expected. Longer the wait, bigger the payoff.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I love this game.

I feel bad for people who do not realize what a masterpiece GTAO is. I predict Jan 6th for the explosion.

If this update lives up to its aspirations, it will be a masterpiece...

But I very much doubt that they would be released on January 6th... I expect to be sometime after the PC release... Maybe 'a month or so' afterwards...

Heist isn't dropping before pc release, they want to built off hype so people buy pc.

2. (Economics) the total amount of money that the individuals in a community, country, etc, have available to buy consumer goods

These alleged heists would be perfect if they included an npc that said 'wha are you doin oh my god' in intentional broken english when robbing the heist location.....congrats if you got the reference lol.

I'm not going to pretend - i am looking foward to this. And if I get disappointed - well i'm a grownup, I can take disappointment. Better than living in bitterness about a broken promise.

Yeah, I can't see myself being disappointed with heists. I assumed they were either going to be normal missions or Payday 2 ripoffs. The heists in the trailer look over-the-top, especially the carrier hijacking. Others, like the disguised garbage disposal, look like there was quite some thought put into them, like we finally have a subtle way of doing something Online. To be honest, that's a lot more than I expected when I think of GTA Online heists.

I'm still hyped as all hell but I'm also a little ticked off we didn't get a release date. I feel like the only reason we don't have them is becuase of PC.

Ideas are perfect, reality not so much. The game is beautiful, the delays, hype, and expectations lead to disappointment.

My guess is that heists will come out sometime in May. The only thing that would make me think otherwise is the fact that R* said heists will be released in the next update..... of course, they did say that and then released a patch update without heists (typical R*)...... but anyway, I would find it hard to beleive that R* would go 5 months without releasing DLC.... THAT is the only thing that would make me think they will come out with heists before May..... but really, I think it WILL be May

I'm excited, but not hyped.

But I'm also not as jaded as you people are. :beerhat:

Rockstar beat the hype out of me with the constant delays. I'm at the point of "seeing it then believing it." But keep hope alive.

With Rockstar marketing, "I will see it when I believe it." And right now, after all the sh*t they put us through in the past three years, I don't believe anything in a Rockstar press release or trailer. So, no hype, just more jaded anger.

The trailer was 95% cutscenes as usual, fast cut edited with exciting music, as usual -- entertaining, yes, but nothing to do with the game. :/

"i know you've been complaining, but you weren't ready"

I think we are Rockstar.

Rockstar marketing has utter and complete contempt for the GTA fanbase, and the feeling is completely f*cking mutual.

You can't choose to have hype for something. It's either in you or it isn't. If a date gets you hyped, then it does, but you made it sound like you can control how much you have with your wording. You can control how much time you put into looking the game up, which in turn can increase your hype, but you still can't choose to increase it.

Can you stop your heartbeat with the power of your own thought as well?

Hype needs to be focused on what content is going to be released before Heists since I doubt R* would make PS3/360 wait until after the PC Release for the first TU since October 2nd. That would be 4 Months without a TU or proper Bug Fixes etc for these consoles on which most people still play. Approaching 5 - 6 Months if the Update dropped in Late Feb/March...The game is still good, but this is hardly Constantly Evolving and Updated if it was to be the case.

Also a 1 Day Christmas Special Event does not really count.

Lol wut? Only a 12 year old can't control their feelings. Hype is (at least in gaming) getting excited for something and anticipating its release. I can control not getting excited and waiting for something if I know its not worth it because of certain factors.

That would be great but can't see any way they release before PC launch.

Then R* will have to iron out those *cough* mods prior to heists being made available.

Remember...

- In a few weeks or so. Lie

- The Epsilon screen saver turns up next week. Lie

- Spring 2013 release date Lie

- Box art revealed by the end of the month. Lie

- DLC 2014 Lie

I have zero faith in anything they say about dates. They couldn't even get a freakin' screen saver out on time.
