The Hunter is based on an Apache model,while this helicopter is based on a Hind model.

I'd be more excited about an Apache type chopper, the Hind not so much.

 

Apache type helicopter as quite possibly a better AH than the Buzzard/Little Bird. While I'm hoping the Russian Hind knockoff can carry six players just like the Cargobob...but is also an attack helicopter.

I think the Russian Attack Heli is named the Hind and The Huey is the Napalm.

 

I don't see them tossing the Hunter since its model was complete as seen on the TV shows and the website.

They can use the Hunter name on whatever model they feel like. If this is the Hunter well that's what it is.

In GTA III the Infernus was based off a Vector M12, in GTA SA it was based off a Honda NSX. Models change.

no confirmation of a hunter to appear in this update as yet. The model is different. The helicopter you are seeing is the 'hind' based of a Mil mi something or other. Probably better than the hunter anyway...

Mi is short for Mil Helicopter design bureau; they were known for making helicopters (y'know, kinda like the name says). Any helo design of theirs was prefaced by Mi.

The Hind perfectly combines firepower and troop transport. That's exactly why Hind >>>> Apache. They even have the same weaponry (rockets, missiles and minigun controlled by gunner). The Hind is an Apache that can also transport troops. The only cool thing about the Apache is that it can do crazy manoeuvres while in the air, but when are you planning to do a looping while in a combat situation?

the hind has the same primary task though, and on the side it has the capability to transport troops in the back. if you were up against an apache, you'd probably explode before having the chance to fight back, but if you were up against a hind, you'd die even if the phalanga missiles didnt hit you at first

they woud probably destroy a hind in a one against one combat match

1 on 1, the Hind would be smoked, yes. But IMO the practicality of carrying troops outweighs that. Besides, when do attack choppers face head to head? They're mostly used for air vs ground

honestly, the hind is indeed a lovely Multi tool and hell, youre pretty safe in it at the times when we hadnt heat seaking misiles

thing is, lately, we have and any of those is gonna find it and destroy it

also not to mention lately its more about the software and all then about the actual armor

also i beleve i read somewere the hind is gonna be kinda replaced by the havock and kamo ka-60's or whatever their names were

that being said, im sorry for not replying directly but apperantly i cant do that anymore

edit: even though the hind remains my favorit, there is no denying its owned on like every front

Depends, which Hind, the W-24 or Mi-24.

 

We haven't seen the front yet and due to hang of R* to originality, it could be the prototype version.

the newest super-hinds are on par with avionics of apaches aswell

 

and air-to-air combat in attack helicopters is something you barely ever get, and even then it depends on countermeasures and manouvers, not necessarily your fancy digital radar

 

just the devil's advocate speakin you know

 

 

 

about the design of the heli in gta i am hoping that they have made it with the tandem layout
