A friend can't change his Aim setting

My buddy changed his Aim to Assited Aim or something different then default. Now he can't switch it back or change it at all. He says it's grey now when he tries to change it back to default. It's affecting both characters on PS4. Any advice? I suggested he put in a request to R*.

You can't change your aim preferences Online. He will have to switch to Single Player and change the targeting mode there.
