Vanilla Shake
Not to mention it's their first year of eligibility, and all of the people that hate 'em are coming out in droves. I'm a huge Green Day fan though so I'm quite f*cking pleased by this. 'Bout damn time for Stevie Ray Vaughn as well. Mister Pink
It's just called the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. It's about artists contribution to music (I believe) less than it being restricted to guitar-based Rock music. I think Kraftwerk were up for nomination were inducted last this year and they're like The Beatles of Electronic music. They have inspired a lot of Rock acts too. But they got the Grammy Lifetime Achievement award this year so.. The first 15 seconds of this video is so funny and amazing seeing as Run DMC are in the Hall of Fame now. But each decent band/artist will go down in history on their own merits. I'm not fussed with the Hall Of Fame. I wouldn't like to say it's meaningless but I don't regard the Hall of Fame to be some sort of official council of music that should be noted in history. A place to start or even inspire, maybe..but not to be taken too seriously either. Strange Town
I like Green Day but I think they got there too early. And when you consider some that some bands like Deep Purple and Iron Maiden haven't got in, you start to wonder. Never heard much of Lou Reed's solo work but I'm very happy to see him there. And f*ck Joan Jett.

To be HoF eligible your debut album must be at least 25 years old. It's been exactly 25 years since their debut album.
