So from what all we seen in the GTA Online Heists trailer, Kuruma will return from GTA 3 into the world of GTA V ! :)

Personally, i can't wait for the HEISTS to come out and try this beast! :D

What R* source claimed this as the Kuruma? Link or I doubt this is the Kuruma.

That looks more like an FLIR camera than a nose mounted gun.

I can go all CSI-zoom-and-enhance if you want, but you're wrong. It's clearly a Gatling gun, on what looks like a gyro targeting mount like the Apache has.

Yes yes, i had to go to the ign site to check because the image quality is finicky on my phone. Before, i could only make out the bulb and assumed that the landing skid was mistaken for a barrel. I appologize.

That brings up an interesting prospect. Just how powerful would this heli be in free roam...three out of four passengers have access to mounted weaponry.

By the way, Jack, the noseart says Zancudo.(that one i double checked to make sure i wasnt wrong :p)

I looked more closely at this photo and I noticed that they were players!
This means that we can wear these outfits? Do you think they will only be available in missions?

1418759838-well.png

They are infiltrating the police station to save an inmate or something. I wouldn't count on the uniforms being available in free mode.

Yeah, 'cos cops are not allowed tattoos or funny looking hair cuts.

"Heists will arrive shortly after the GTA Online launch, together with the content creator and the beach bum DLC" they said.

Now they say 2015.

Oh rockstar. :D

Yes and I'm sure you'll be acting like a little child getting candy from grandma while it downloads the dlc.

Not sure if that was a joke, but those are obviously players. Or were you not being sarcastic.

How is this going to work? Are we going to have the same lobby, like for every other mission? Or the heists leader will send out an email(?) from the in-game phone to friends/everyone else in free-roam? And when there are 4 players signed up everyone gets a different objective and has to finish before moving on? What level of cooperation will be required? What happens if the heist is failed? No money for the leader? Will we get an on-call option for heists too? Why is January 27th so far? Are we getting any other content before heists? Oh my god, so many questions:O

Each 'strand' (heist type or 'mode') will have an average of 4 missions.

So, on average the heists will take an hour to complete each.

Okay now reading it once again I'm actually confused. "Strand" I'm assuming is one heist campaign. "Over 20 total missions", so this counts simultaneous missions for different roles? Like 2 prep-missions going on at once counts as two missions, but you'll only play one on one playthrough. 20 hours in this case would be the total amount of hours it would take to complete all strands in all roles.

But after they talk about the numbers they talk about how "then" you can replay them as if after we've spent 20 hours we'd go try the other roles for the first time?

Snip:

But if it's 20 total when playing once, then it would mean that one strand(which culminates in a heist would take about 4 hours). That's what I've been saying. Meaning that it's about 360 000 or something like that, maybe varied by which strand you play or potential bonuses you get per 4 hours for each player.

Yeah, sorry I made an mistake there - I think each one will take an hour to do, so doing 5 would take 5 hours and doing 5 in 4 different roles would mean 20 hours!

For example:
Heist 1: The Pacific Standard: 1 hour
Mission 1: Aquire getaway vehicle (10 minutes?)
Mission 2: Purchase masks/outfits/weapons (10 minutes?)
Mission 3: Raid bank (15-20 minutes?)
Mission 4: Escape (15-20 minutes?)
Heist 2: The Fleeca Bank: 1 hour
Mission 1: Aquire getaway vehicle (10 minutes?)
Mission 2: Purchase masks/outfits/weapons (10 minutes?)
Mission 3: Raid bank(15-20 minutes?)
Mission 4: Escape(15-20 minutes?)
Heist 3: The Humane Labs: 1 hour
Mission 1: Aquire getaway vehicle (10 minutes?)
Mission 2: Purchase masks/outfits/weapons (10 minutes?)
Mission 3: Raid labs (15-20 minutes?)
Mission 4: Escape (15-20 minutes?)
Heist 4: Unknown location (Aircraft Carrier?): 1 hour
Mission 1: Aquire getaway vehicle (10 minutes?)
Mission 2: Purchase masks/outfits/weapons (10 minutes?)
Mission 3: Raid Aircraft Carrier? (15-20 minutes?)
Mission 4: Escape (15-20 minutes?)
Heist 5: Unknown location (I have no idea from the trailer): 1 hour
Mission 1: Aquire getaway vehicle (10 minutes?)
Mission 2: Purchase masks/outfits/weapons (10 minutes?)
Mission 3: Raid unknown location? (15-20 minutes?)
Mission 4: Escape (15-20 minutes?)
This is just speculation based on what is in the video and interview, we will have to wait and see where all of the heists are when they are released (hopefully when the PC version comes out).
I had hoped that they would come with the 'current' / 'new' gen systems release, but obviously they didn't.

I think the 4 hours for one strand/campaign seems more likely tbh. If there's several prep missions along with cutscenes not to mention the heist itself which should be longer than the other missions, I think 1 hour would actually be a really short time. So the payouts don't seem that exciting unless you can really crank them up with those bonuses. But it's more important that the heists themselves will actually be fun.

@GTAandStuff. You're over thinking it. There are twenty missions total between all of the heists.

There are "strands" in Red Dead's music, they took this into programming the heists. Likely, this has to do with some optional ways one can tackle a heist, or they randomize certain heist elements so it's always, technically, different (much like Payday2's map layouts).

Replay value is where they are sticking the 20 hour number. Don't get hung up on it, I'm telling you.

It is an hour, average time wise, to complete one entire heist. I can't get people to come watch a three hour movie with me, let alone play cooperatively for that amount of time.

I am willing to bet all my characters money this is the case.

Doesn't look anything like him, except for that fact that they are both obviously white. Don't sound alike either.

I thought he sounded like Devin Weston, but you are probably right - he certainly does look like him:

And also sounds like him?

The article mentions big set pieces. I doubt we will be able to access the inside of the heist buildings or the aircraft carrier in free mode.

As long as it's fun enough, a lot of people can play co-op for several hours. I used to play Borderlands 2 through almost the whole day with my friend(we'll see how addicting the heists will be compared to that game though).

1 hour for one heist campaign, which will include several prep-missions, planning, cutscenes and a heist mission which is probably a longer mission than the others, all of this in 1 hour just seems very quick to me. Some of the longer missions that are already Online can take close to 20 mins to complete, if you tend to fail a bit. But idk I guess we'll see.

Looks good to me. The content alone makes it worth it. Payouts don't matter. I already own everything.

Lets just hope we can own more properties.

Remember this is R*, none of this is confirmed.

IMO, yacht and aircraft carrier will be Heist pieces, along with a majority of the armoured cars/vehicles.
