MonsterCockDude
This is simply a juxtaposition to this "manly sim or go home" BS attitude every nothinker flexes on the internet nowadays... These Businesses obv. know how to market a product. They've mastered it. Not to mention, little Timmy and his bro's wanna be, or wanna fantasize that they're the next Michael Jordan, or the next Michael Shumacher. So they (me) Anually get duped into rebuying Snorza, they (I) do 200 laps around Laguna Seca trying to shave off that last 100th of a second, and realize they're fkn Bored out of their Gourd... They're not gettin paid, they don't know how much camber LSeca requires for their 83' Mazda Miata. If the top guys are faster, or just better tuners... (FYI, they have designated expert team mechanics), and then they never play the "amazing sim" again... They pop in GTA / Skyrim / Fallout and shoot some motherfkers without consequence... Been there, did that. I can jump 2 feet off the ground. That's fkn boring. I'd much rather jump 10, and have a bit of air control and weild 2 guns to boot. I know I come off harsh. So do you... and AFK is sim as it gets, Dude Except most people will never have the opportunity to be a pro race car driver, be an astronaut, play in the MLB, be a top level criminal, be in SWAT, be a pro boxer. Yet all of these things are pretty interesting, and make for good video games or movies if done right and simulated makes for a good game. Heck Euro Truck Simulator has you take on the boring job of being a truck driver and had pretty much no marketing but became a pretty popular PC game somehow. Loads of games already are on the market that let you do silly over the top sh*t, Saints Row, Just Cause, Mercenaries in a free roam scenario. As a matter of fact it's a lot easier for developers to put in silly gimmicks like sh*t spewing septic tanks, super human powers over putting in realistic and smart AI and good physics. All of those games are awful and suck because they are so basic in gameplay and focus on quantity over quality, if I wanted that I could just go back and play San Andreas on the PS2 and get excited that it's easy to go on a rampage and take out 50 cops when the cops stand still and don't take cover and your guy can take 25 shots while dual wielding sub machine guns. ana lill
GTA as it is now simulates a the lives of superhero criminals (and this is what most people want I would think). In my view it would be awesome if we got an alternative mode, where the superhero factor is scaled down, and admittedly, the difficulty scaled up (The last of us has a decent take on this, although quite limited).
