Do you shoot first?

So when you are driving past a person, or they drive past you - Are you the type of person to shoot them first, or will they more likely shoot you first?

I always give them a chance. If they try kill me I give them hell.

I don't drive past other players, it's not hard to avoid conflict.

So I assume anyone who drives past me is looking for trouble, I always shoot first :sneaky:

I shoot first if someone drives at me , they could use a different road , no need to drive at me so they obviously intend to run over or attack , so yes i shoot first

OP, I'm with you. I always give them a chance first and then retatliate. Sometimes I own, sometimes it's an even battle, sometimes I get owned bad. Tis is the circle of life of GTA:O.

If someone drives towards me I don't necessarily think they want trouble. Sometimes I drive towards other players just to see what is going on, don't think that in itself is untoward. Usually only start killing only if someone kills me/shoots me first, same goes with sticky bombing PVs. Only exception is when I encounter someone with a gun out and is coming anywhere near, then I know you are trouble and will shoot you first.

I even get rid of any weapon I might have equipped if I am going towards another player but have no intention of killing.

Yes, if I see they are armed.

However if they were unarmed I will not kill but rather get ready with my minigun.

I shoot if they are anywhere near me. On foot, bike, horse, goat, car, don't care.

I don't shoot first, I would recommend all friendly players toot there horn to another player giving them a signal they are friendly, when approaching ,we could call it a type of hello.... But this can be abused by sh*ts aswell... (Ps guys it's bad manners to shoot first ,ask the ladies....)

By the time you get close enough to toot they'll be an RPG on its way towards your windshield.....

You have radar, use it to avoid other players if you don't want to be shot at

If you want to make friends send a text message......

Ya can't claim to be a good guy if ya shoot first.

No, but you can claim to be a smart guy! :p

I prefer not to shoot in general.

I may retaliate, though.

I save the ammo for missions.

I taught a low level punk a nice lesson yesterday. Dude rolls up to me with his awesome level 7 gear and pops off. After he drills me for no reason, I re-spawn and take him out and then leave a nice little present on his Bati and then pull around the corner. As he comes wizzing up to shoot me again, BOOM! Lesson over punk, hahaha!

Anyway, I'm finding a lot more low level guys attacking me for no reason since making the switch to new gen. I wonder is my dot red or something? I got into a couple of cop shootouts with my crew-mates, so I dunno.

I don't go looking for trouble I just try & make money so i'm only interested in Bounty's but if someone rocks up & they haven't txt me then experience has taught me to auto assume they are hostile.

I primarily play in crew or invite sessions. But if I find myself in a public session:

Yes, I try to shoot first. Otherwise I'm dead

I always shoot at whoever drives past me, about 95% of people in this game are blood thirsty and WILL try to run you over with their damn Zentorno!

The game gives us all kinds of incentives to kill other players, no one is killing "for no reason"

The low levels have the most incentive as they probably haven't unlocked anything.

Low levels remind me of that irritating little brother thats always trying to prove something but usually ends up getting put in his place by the big brother.

Agreed. I guess I just worded that poorly. Meant to say I'm usually not the one starting a firefight. Usually just chilling, minding my own business, when these guys pull and start popping off shots! It's all good though, part of the game.

No. I usually avoid others. If I spot someone approaching me, I just take cover and see where it goes from there. If they wanna be an ass, I'll be one right back.

If I have to drive by them, I drive by fast. I am level 103 and many will not want to start something. If they do hack me off I have a number of options to harass them including mercs and lamar. I am a lone wolf with $1.8 M in bank and really nothing I want that much to spend it on except a third property which they don't have. So $7500 for mercs from the inside of my house is not gonna wreck me.

I don't find it profitable to engage other players unless a bounty. In Paleto Bay, I frankly don't want to make an enemy of neighbors if I can help it. I came there shortly after starting playing the game to avoid the streets of LS and operate how I want without constant interference. I report to no one. I will go to the helipad and get the buzzard to harass someone trying to mess with me or hunt hostiles.

I think the best thing is strategic avoidance if possible. You really don't know some of their motivations. If I am running an errand to sell a $13 k car right after sign on, I don't want some distraction. War with other players takes up cash and game time which can be used for more profitable or positive activities.

Me and my 3 sons play as a team. One of them is disabled so it's the only activity I have found I can do with him. I only play this game. I'm 46 and grew up in I.T. and I personall own 14 vehicles (restomods, etc... in real life).

So typically we shoot first but ONLY SHOOT RED OR PINK PSYCHOS.

I gift carded myself a hundred or so at this point. Every vehicle I own is maxed out. I bought a Buzzard for 1.7m. I pilot it, my middle son is the weapons officer lol. He is Ruthless, as is his younger brother. I'm not a good shot but I do pilot well and drive even better. I'm told, exceptional.

So we fly the buzzard hunting psychos. If you are a white dot, we leave you alone. Go pink, we head that way. Eventualy that makes my co-pilot red too. I've spent a few thousand going to theme parks and not had this much fun for what little I've spent so far. With 4 stations in the same house, headphones, game chat, it's a hoot. We roll in two crews with some of my son's friends. If someone wants to be a bully, bring it lol.

And yes, we know how to fly "broke" ($=0) and take out your Zentorno or what ever it is. Meaning, your insurance means nothing. You only pay if you have money lol. I've watched my son, 14, take out dozens in just minutes. All I have to do is keep the bird in the air and follow his calls. I'm ex-military, so being a team player, is natural.

Love the old Rat Rods DLC just gave us!! But we now have to adapt to players holding Stingers lol. Good thing they only hold 10 rounds and take so long to lock on. Cool thing is, you can shoot some cops, out come the choppers, then blend into the multiple targets. Sneak, Peak, Retreat... Don't hover!

Peace!

I aim at players that come near me, but I don't open fire. I hold aim on them until I can see they mean no harm. Normally ends with them doing the surrender action and us carrying on with our lives.

I really try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I will usually come at you unarmed unless I see you have a weapon out. If you approach me with your weapon out, get ready to die. Generally in cars, honking means friendly but some people take that as a weakness and exploit it for a free kill. I generally avoid people if I'm in a car. If im driving and someone starts following me, I take a lot of turns and if they keep up, I'll pull off into an alleyway, get out, and wait to see what they do. Usually ends with them driving off, blowing up my pv and driving away, or me completely obliterating them and their car. Then I drive off into the sunset
