Modern Coquette Bug

For those of you who own a roofed version of the Invetero Coquette, check your mechanic car list. To find out which one you have, go to LSC and go to Roof. If you have the coloured roof and carbon roof then you own this variant.

It will say Coquette Topless on the mechanic car list, even if you bought a roofed version.

When in first person, with the carbon roof, the sound of wind blowing will be heard, even when the windows are closed and no glass is broken.

It's a bit petty but this is really annoying when driving.

I believe this is due to the addition of car variants a few patches ago on the old consoles. Either that or the car codes were changed during the porting process. (Anyone who remembers the body code issues knows what I mean e.g. Adder spoiler being missing, Infernus not giving a spoiler upon purchase etc.)

Has anyone else experienced this issue with either the Coquette or other cars with variants, such as the Voltic?

EDIT: With the roofed version, if you have the carbon roof, it is renamed as Topless. When you switch to the coloured roof, it gets renamed to Coquette without Topless next to it.

I know the windows are always up on my stallion convertible which looks dumb. You used to be able to flip the bird and roll the window down but i think this only works as a passenger

I actually had the opposite happen with my topless Coquette - to my personal cost, in fact:

Went to LSC to get it kitted out with some new stuff, and idly flicked back and forth between the 'carbon roof' and 'no roof' options... ...only for it to suddenly swap 'no roof' with 'stock roof' - BAM, I've got a regular, hard-top version. Needless to say, I like the topless version, so I sold it and got a new topless replacement.

Went to LSC again, same thing happened (and I'd just spent a pretty penny getting the replacement car up to spec with my original) - fortunately, when I went and scrolled through the spoiler options, the roof disappeared, and my Coquette reverted back to the topless version ...which meant I could have probably done the same the first time, and saved myself the hassle/wasted time & money. :facedesk:

Very frustrating - tempted to get a support ticket up for it, so with a bit of luck it can be hot-fixed, or resolved with the next DLC update.

Only thing I noticed was the 3rd brake light is on all the rear bumper options now. Bummer.

I have this variant and mine doesn't say topless, nor do I hear the wind. I'm on xbone if that makes a difference.

Thats unusual. I'm going to keep investigating.

I know I bought the roofed version but the mechanic begs to differ.

I have found out why the names change. See the EDIT in the OP.

Basically: colour roof causes no wind sound. Carbon roof causes wind sound.

or you could have done the part swap to remove the roof. I swear to god if they patch the part swap trick on cars where the roofless version ect are a bodystyle like phoenix and panto imma be pissed.

You can if you're unarmed and you press L1/LB + R1/RB. I used to have a permanent roofless Stallion. Edited by YngDady
