ShadowTheFaded Posted December 15, 2014 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Happened some months back. Got done with a contact mission and went back into freeroam. Upon entering noticed that my minimap was not present. As I always do when I enter a new lobby pressed down on the d-pad to see who's on. The player list did not show or anything else in that temporary HUD. Was able to pause thought the main map showed no mission, store, or any other icons. It was just bare. Interested I thought it would be fun to get into some cop shootouts without the minimap figuring it would be difficult. To start off my expected rampage I made my way to a known store to do a robbery. Once inside the usual clerk was not present. As I made my way back to my car I was getting a creepy vibe from the situation. Started to drive off when a car came skiding across the inersection I was comming upon. It slid infront of me going on the sidewalk to my right hitting a pedestrian until stopping a few car lengths behind me. Not knowing if it was an npc or another player I turned around and stopped right by their car. A female character exited the vehicle dressed in patriotic american attire and a bald eagle mask. She walked infront of my car facing me. I decided to get out of my car. Right when I got out she pulled out a grenade and held it in hand. Knowing an imminent kamikaze was about to happen I quickly tried to get in my car. Figuring there would not be enough time to drive away I tried to cancel the action to make a run for it. To much time had passed and the grenade went off destroying my car and blowing me backwards. My character landed and the camera had turned around to follow my character so the destruction was not visible. The familiar death menu did not cue nor did the corner notification of who killed me. I just watched as my character layed dead on the pavement. I watched for about for what seemed to be almost half an hour. It had been raining this whole time. It stopped and the sun came out. The ground and my characters clothes dried. After a while I felt sad looking at the lifeless body of mine. It was all somewhat surreal. I could not pause or do anything to leave. Once satisfied that nothing else was going to happen I hit the power button on my system. As I was writing this I remembered that I used my phone to take a picture of my dead character. I am using my playstations web app to do this but if there's any interest to see the pic I might be able to get access to a computer and try to post it. If we're on the same page, when this glitch happens you're granted the ability to walk inside Michael's mansion. I haven't ran into this glitch on PS4, but it would happen on PS3 sometimes.
