Carbinax Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) Once again last night, id just finished a few brilliant survival co-op missions, and was just minding my own business, checking out my new elegy,buying a new 10 car garage, and then I took my otherride to ls customs to see what new upgrades I could put on my car, and out of the blue I get a message saying "you have f*cked with the wrong person" and a bounty was put on me for no reason. I logged into a new session and drove to ammunation as I recently unlocked a sniper rifle, but discovered I was $10k short so couldnt buy it, so I was gonna drive back to my garage and switch off for the night. On the way back I drove through a red area under the freeway where the hobos live , and wondered what it was. Discovered it was a baller gang attack, so I took them all out. Noticed when I was running back out from under the freeway that there were red flashing lights on the ground , so I shot them and they exploded, and then noticed a player car backup up to where I was trying to exit, so I hid behind a post and shot his tyres out, then aimed at the driver seat cos he was obviously trying to ice me , but then the next minute I died either by grenades or rocket launcher or something. I respawned round the corner with no car and was a sitting duck so I got picked off again, so I respawned a third time and was on my mobile phone banking my money and I see this asshole standing right in front of me with a shotgun and he blew me away while I was on the mobile , then afew minutes later got blown up by a tank. If I was at a high level, I'd be benevolent rather than malevolent, and wouldn't grief anyone, but lets just say I'm starting to get my wits about me, and im making a hitlist of players who grief me without any reason. It may take time , but I'll pick them off one by one, slowly and methodically, at a time and place of my choosing. I'm only level 10 so of course I can't fight back. I try to fight back they kill me in 1 shot. Basically I'm here to ask WHY must you guys torture to new guys to the point we don't even want to play anymore? Why can't the game be fun? You wanna go around killing, make a invite only lobby and have your friends join and kill each other. I just started and my kd is 0.34 because of all these dicks, I have 112 deaths. This is ridiculous. I say we make a petition to make rockstar make it so people level 250 don't get in games with people level 10. How do you guys deal with these dicks, or hackers that like to get inside of buildings so you can't see them and constantly kill everyone? You can fight back. LVL means nothing. Level 374, almost level 375 and making up for using better weapons early on my killing people with Lamar's pistol now. Nineteen more kills to unlock army tint. Passive is there for a reason, so use it if you have to take a leak or make a cuppa, else you're fair game. The OP should stop whining. It's nothing to do with your level. I played from day 1 and straight away had annoying assholes reversing up to me in supercars and shooting me from the security of their bulletproof cars. It just pushed me to find a way to overcome this scenario. Now if you come reversing at me expect to go up in smoke before you get a single kill. Sure, I'll have to pay your insurance, but it's worth it for the amusement of screwing up your plans, plus it gives me time to disappear whilst you respawn and call the insurance company, then your mechanic. As stated though, some n00bs ask for it - had a level 25 pepper mine and a friend's PVs with sticky bombs last night whilst we were in one of the gun stores. Amusingly, we were both in passive, having anticipated the n00b doing something stupid. (He was circling the block when we entered the store.) We walked out of the store and he was sat there (in a Zentorno, surprise surprise) and I just walked up to him and did the jerk motion, whilst my friend got into his car. N00b then hits the explode button, which does nothing to my friend's car (which is now passive with him), but mine gets blown up to the tune of about $5000 - paid for by Mr. N00b, of course! 20 secs later I have my car back in brand new condition and the n00b is $5k poorer, plus the cost of all the stickies he used. He got no kills, but unfortunately quit the session straight after, once I'd disabled passive to teach him a lesson. Still, if you're just walking up to people in freeroam then you'll get shot, regardless of rank. Everybody knows that most people will kill you immediately upon seeing you, so nobody chances it anymore. When I was a n00b I made that mistake a few times, but you quickly learn that 99% of people aren't to be trusted. GTA_dog Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 I'm currently rank 155 and I'm usually sitting in passive mode, I drive around and try to have a huge shootout/police chase, I usually avoid others because people seem to like chasing after high ranked players, just as high ranked players like chasing low ranked players.Sorry, I don't enjoy online by killing others, I enjoy the environment as if it were a single player experience in a multiplayer game, you either rob stores and have some classic fun, or you yolo swag your ride and run over players after they respawn, using stickies where ever possible. I join a session with a lower ranked friend, which has just two other people in it. My friend and I are in my car when one of the other player's dots comes rushing towards us on the map. My friend is in passive, but I'm not, so I jump out to defend myself, unsure if the chasing foe is able to destroy my car or not when my friend is passive. Of course, he drives straight at me as soon as I'm out of my car and just manages to clip me as I dodge him, knocking me down, but not killing me. As I get up, he gets out and we both equip our weapons at the exact same moment. Unfortunately for him, he's lying in a bloody mess on the floor before he's even managed to hit me once. One of the perils of taking on a level 250+ when you're at level 25... Annoyingly, an NPC then decides the gunfire was too much to handle and suddenly runs me over, finishing me off. Oddly, the game decides the kill should be awarded to Mr. N00b, stating that he "splattered" me, despite the fact that he's actually led on the floor in a pool of his own blood. Nevermind, I got my kill in, so I just head back to my car... but oh no, Mr. N00b wants to press the issue, and comes straight back at me, over and over again. I dont see GTA as an opportunity to unleash chaos. I see it as a driving game with options to do other stuff , which are secondary , but the primary focus of GTA is driving.
