Modders in Tanks?

Okay so earlier today I was playing Online on the Xbox 360, and 3 guys were sticking together in separate tanks, terrorizing everyone else in the lobby. Everything seemed normal, until I noticed 3 things about one of them. 1) He was invincible. 2) His tank cannon was firing at the same kind of rate as the APC from TBOGT. And 3) He was going very fast.

 

The other guys eventually got destroyed by multiple RPG rockets, and sticky bombs etc. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary for these two. But this other guy (I can't remember his GT), just would not die. Also, I don't think a tank is supposed to be able to instantly catch up to and go over a fully upgraded Phoenix.

 

Thoughts on this?

Yeah I'm in a different lobby now, just wanted to know if anybody else had seen this at all.

Turbo Tank, with a rapid fire 105mm, sounds like a Scuba Dave machine.

You can record up to 15 mins of gameplay at a time before the share option resets the timer on the PS4.

 

Just press the share button and follow the instructions to upload/save the video clip, I have to say I haven't

seen any evidence to support tanks being modded on PS4 though, it does seem a little faster graphically

than the PS3 version.

I really do want to see either one in person or on video if it exists.

 

I won't go as far to say it's impossible... but I'm highly skeptical of it on PS4.

 

Now on PS3... all day long I'd believe a tank shooting Trevors flying through the air with a blowup sex doll tethered to it.

I never saw anything like this on the 360. I know others that did but I was never lucky/unlucky enough to see anything cool.

Well I'm getting it on Xbox One during the January sales, apparently there are still cash drop lobbies too. I saw some people advertising them on TTG, i hope they enjoy their bans.

But they will eventually arrive at Xbox One, when someone have developed a mod chip for Xbox One which allows modding.

 

The only thing that can prevent modding and cheating is "Cloud Gaming", based on video streaming.

 

"The actual game is stored, executed, and rendered on the remote operator's or game company's server and the video results are streamed directly to a consumer's computers over the internet. This allows access to games without the need of a console and largely makes the capability of the user's computer unimportant, as the server is the system that is running the processing needs. The controls and button presses from the user are transmitted directly to the server, where they are recorded, and the server then sends back the game's response to the input controls". Source

 

Combine this with anti cheat systems that auto-detect high-earner players, who glitch for RP or money, or kills or death. This will kill all modding and hacking for ever in video games.

Its getting off topic but even I know who ScubaDave on here is.

 

I will not forget the modded Dewbance JB700 taking out that tank in free roam or when he had the tank in

his garage and blew up the players.

 

OT Anyway I'm also sure this was a PS3 only incident.

Did it happen to look like the picture below?

The APC-style rockets is the Rapidfire, included on all Scuba Dave Signature Edition tanks. If you saw them exploding then that was v1.2. if there were sticky bombs coming out the turret it is v1.3. The turbo has been increased and can now keep up with most un-modded Adders. That is un-modded though. A modded super will still always outrun a Scubadave Signature Tank... HOWEVER, while you guys in normal cars have to deal with traffic, the tanks have a collision factor of 10x so they can just drive right through any cars, police, etc. Just makes it so much easier to drive through downtown LS.

I propose that it was Scubadave and two females, for it is well-known that not only is Scubadave a sex god, but also maintains a 10:1 female ratio in tank shifts.

 

You should be ever thankful that you met your end to such a superior being. I would find it to be an honour.
