GTA Master 007
I think R* should give up making this series, its not going to ever grow. Don't get me wrong, its a good game, but not good enough imo, its mediocre. With that said I think R* should focus on better franchises such as midnight club, manhunt or red dead and I'd kill for bully 2, but I got a feeling we'll be seeing Max payne 4 before any one these titles. I'd prefer R* to come up with something new then invest in something that will most likely fail.

My guess is your are speculating out your... "It's mediocre" - Your opinion - but just before that you said it was a good game. Hmm. "Rockstar should focus on better franchises" - Based on your indecisive opinions and speculations? "I'd prefer to see R* come up with something new then than invest in something that will most likely fail" - After you said they should focus on old stuff like Manhunt and Midnight club. I disagree. There are many fans that are committed to Max Payne series. Not every Rockstar game has to be a huge blockbusting triple A. Like The Warriors on PS2... it wasn't the biggest Rockstar game out there but it's nice to have something different. Th3MaN1
Don't get me wrong, its a good game, but not good enough imo, its mediocre First of all, there won't be a Max Payne 4. Instead of speculating, you should at least check the ending on 3, because that's an unofficial way of saying "We're done with this." Second, they know what's good for them, and the fans (for the most part, f*cking heists and single player DLC...). We'd surely love all hose games, but for now, we can only wait. GTA Master 007
Its good for a game in general, But Its not good enough to meet most peoples standards because its R*'s game, hence its mediocre meaning not very good overall given the circumstances. So just because it doesn't stand up to GTA, o the almighty open-world franchise, it's mediocre? Bullsh*t. Max Payne games have the better story, better shooting, actual PC versions that are good, and I'm just scratching the surface. You can only get a max of 7-10 hours playtime in this game before getting rid of it and there's nothing special about the shooting. Maybe its great for casuals, but if you like me, there must be more to a game then cutscenes.

But saying there's nothing special about the shooting is, simply put, stupid to say. You must be used to the casual third person shooters, because Max Payne 3 is, if not, the best third person shooter as of now. Yes, it's all opinions in the end, but then again, you didn't really make sense to me at all in the beginning. You're basically hating on the franchise because it doesn't live up to R* standards. Well then, let me ask you; what are these R* standards you're talking about? lol232, OneManCrimeWave, Zello and 1 other

I rarely use that word...because it's quite a strong word...but in your case an exception seems absolutely legit. *inclined to write a wall of truth and wisdom so the blind ignorant fool could be healed and see again (most likely for the first time in his case)* I don't give enough of a f*ck though (right now)....just don't ever say the magic words Max and Payne when we're in the same room again....or brace yourself for some serious downgrading of your apparently already way too small horizon...consequences might never be the same again! also, this franchise could and SHOULD be re-made/continued for infinity....the theme of revenge never gets old....especially when you leave a trail of millions of bullets behind you that flew out shell by shell and dropped to the floor in slow motion ClaudeSpeed1911
Xyn
Lol no. Max's journey through the night continues... I blame R*'s poor marketing and confidence in the series as a main factor for MP's lack of 'mainstream success'; they didn't give MP2;TFOMP the marketing it deserved and MP3 got screwed over by being sandwiched in between GTA V. Anyone remember their facebook being plastered with kids bitching "GTA V pls", "Rock we want GTA V no one cares about Max Payne", etc? Both sequels got unanimous positive reviews, so it's not the games themselves are a failure or anything. So yeah, I blame R* for not knowing how to handle their products. In fact, if GTA wasn't such a brand name I'm pretty sure they'd have blundered that as well. And if you think there's nothing special about the shooting, chances are you played it with Auto Aim to the motherf*cking max. Play with manual aim and you'll see how the shooting sh*ts on GTA's. I love GTA as much as the next fanboy, but it feels like a PS2 game compared to how well MP3 handles. Agem
Honestly, I hope we can get at least spin-offs or connecting games with different characters, maybe even Passos. The series are a masterpiece, Remedy developed the first two and Rockstar just took the right recipe for the third one, and I'd honestly be mad if we don't get anything anytime soon. Mediocre? Actually, this series is one of the examples that with good hands, single player games are still a thing that can work in a world we only care about online play. Both Max Payne 3 and Wolfenstein:TNO showed this to the public, both are great, and if expanded upon, we can still have more hours of fun.
