This has pretty much always happened and never seems to get mentioned, but it looks so wrong.

 

Have you noticed when carjacking both people in the vehicle scatter- blatantly leaving the other one to die?

 

They could be husband and wife and still run off in completely different directions wtf

It's a game OP, just because virtual people are engage or married or gf and bf or whatever doesn't mean they'll run out of a carjacking "side by side", they would run away in opposite directions because NPCs can't have intimate relationships.

In some cars, like the Sentinel, NPCs get stuck in the back seat and are left to die lol.

in IV it was great when one jacked a car full of people, they go around screaming, waitingcor the first chance to jump out of the car.

I used to drive them to the driver who is running away and drop them off to reunite the family.

I think the better question would be what do these people think when some hoodlum steals there blista only to abandon it for a Dubsta. Does the owner feel relieved that the criminal has abandon their car for something more desirable or insulted that this c*nt who just ripped them from their car at gunpoint has now decided their car isn't good enough for their agenda.

 

Of course the alternative is the poor pedestrian watches as the criminal tears away in there pristine phoenix to only crash it through a chain-link fence to get to their Buffalo parked on the other side. It sort of reminds me of the days playing as Detective Cole Phelps and asking 1940s Americans to get out of their Packards because I don't feel like chasing the subject on foot. Only for me to crash the damn thing into a baseball field as my partner reminds me how I'm a delinquent.

 

In any case I think it be interesting if there were more pedestrians in vehicles then the standard two in the front. Like when I steal an Emperor from Chamberlin and while bouncing over some hills the trunk flies open revealing a baller bound and gagged ala that mission from IV. Or I steal a limo and there are people in the back who start enjoying me running for my life as a psycho in a zentorno squeaks at me how he's going to "totally own me".

Or when you hit a car with two people in, killing the passenger. The driver shouts/swears at you and then drives off normally with a corpse sat beside them.

NPC's are great IMO.

 

Stand in traffic and aim at a driver, sometimes he screams and gets out, sometimes he floors it and runs you down, sometimes he backs up quickly into the car behind, only to then get out and run off anyway, like the extra 10 feet he reversed will render you ineffective.

 

Then of course you have the gangsters, who will pull a pistol on you if you aim at them with an RPG.

 

NPC logic may not be realistic, but it's damn funny!

Its times like these where they truly live up to the whole "fight or flight" motto and oh you best better BELIEVE that most of these pedestrians usually choose the latter.

fort you were gonna talk about old gen when they would vanish into thin air during a jacking when the connection was bad, sometimes they would take the whole car with them

was just playing far cry 4 the other day and people react to other people dying quite realistically in that game

this one instance a guy was actually crying over the body of his wife who had just been killed by a honey badger.

paring NPC's that spawn together shouldn't be all that difficult, some simple follow behavior could go a long way for instance.
