Everyone hates how these so "skilled" jet pilots grief all day with atomic bomb guns firing through the city, dogfighting is another respectable sport but those garbage Griefers need to be dealt with and sniper rifles only work to an extent. Increasing the power on the buzzards MiniGuns and armor to withstand one strafe from a jet.

It would make dogfighting jets much more interesting but it could be easily ruined by a jet going above me here comes another suggestion, on San Andreas the hunter chopper was able to do a backflip. Hopefully it would be possible to code it into the buzzard and that way when a jet gets above me I can spray a few more rounds into it increasing my chance of win. If they miss to hit me with the explosive cannons you could spray them with much more powerful bullet streams. On the current PS3/XBX360 it would take about 8-9 seconds for the jet to blow up after being hit with accurate aim with the chain guns but with the speed of the jet it's difficult especially trying to dodge the explosive cannons at the same time.

Another issue is the weak buzzard armor, I mean c'mon $1m+ heli that will start to go down after five marksman rounds. Atleast make it possible to upgrade it at LS customs for 100% armour costing? $200k

Hopfully releases an Apache/Hunter which has the same San Andreas mechanics that way these garbage jet pilots will have real competition in the sky.

the buzzard miniguns are great, when you know how to use them you can easily bring down another chopper. but i don't think they should become stronger to take out jets. with some well shot sniper shots you can take down a jet.

I've taken out soo many inexpernced jet/buzzard pilots in diff lobbies and with stronger guns, experienced jet and buzzard pilots would have competition with each other not just easy wins for the jet. Well if the buzzard can't cut the chase then the hunter fits best for this.

I agree the Buzzards armour is a joke. But the cannons are fine in my opinion. Taking inexperienced jet pilots is a breeze till they figure out they have explosive rounds lol. Then even the most noob jet pilot can take you out, if even one of those op rounds hit you.

 

It would be nice if there were a peggy mod hanger in the airport to upgrade your peggy vehicles though.

I love my Buzzie as much as the next GTAO player, but there's just something incredibly satisfying in a vehicle that is both the fastest thing in the game and, with some practice, arguably the most deadly one.Very true. Just make the old gen consoles have the same passive mode as the new gen consoles. That way they're harmless to people that want to be safe from them, and still as powerful for people that want to use them. Everyone wins!

It's unlikely that a Buzzard can win against a decently piloted Lazer. It would be absurdly unrealistic otherwise.

 

BTW I have the feeling that the range of the Buzzard's rockets has been reduced on new gen. Anyone else notice this?

If the Buzzard handled like the AH-6 in Operation Arrowhead, then sure -- I'd gladly take on a fighter jet. The Buzzard feels too stiff and nowhere near as nimble as it should be; even with the gun/rocket pods attached. However, if they introduce the Hunter into V/Online, I'd gladly settle for that beast.

I think the jet is weak enough...sertainly since the greatest killers end up in bad sport lobby after dedtroying to much pv's

I was in a session flying a laser minding my own business a buzzard w/bounty follows me trying to shoot me down good pilot he almost got me twice but i kept dodging and only used rockets shoot him down and got bounty its kinda hard when they stay still, true story

Everything is fine as is. The jet is powerful, yes, but it does take practice to become truley deadly with it. It is a challenge to learn that is balanced with the reward of being the best tool for experienced players who have put in the time to learn how to use it. It is difficult enough to master that if it were weaker or had higher opposition, it wouldn't be worth learning. And it's not all roses up there like some people think. We have eachother to contend with as well. And it's amazing fun at times. 6 jets in the air in death circles gets tense. Edited December 15, 2014 by huckmonkey

agreed!! With the new pasive mode, bad sport is outdated and far to OP. People now have the ability to greatly reduce how often their vehicles get destroyed. There's no need for b.s. to be as harsh as it is now on new gen. Over 3 accounts I got b.s. 12 times over 2 months. That's insane. Especially since after the first time on each account, I was trying not to destroy PV'S as often.

Sorry OP, but this guys is where my thumbs up is going. Everything is fine as is. The jet is powerful, yes, but it does take practice to become truley deadly with it. It is a challenge to learn that is balanced with the reward of being the best tool for experienced players who have put in the time to learn how to use it. Besides, heavy sniper rounds are enough to scare any aircraft user.

Honestly last 2 times I called my Buzzard on a Jet I done pretty good. First guy I took down. Steady sway and fire rockets like a made man. You'll even hit a Jet eventually.

 

Second could get a line on me even after flying above me, I ended up going on the chase against him and he bailed from his Jet.

I only shoot the chain guns on jets, since I do quite a bit of buzzard dfights my aim is pretty decent. Once a jet misses you and it starts turning around you to come back and blast u is the best chance of damaging the jet very bad since it's armor is also pretty whack.. But of course the jets speed is crazy and if I dnt land enough hits the jet would just be a light smoke coming out the back and would come back and kill me. But if they were a tad bit stronger couple of hundred rounds to make the jet blow up or go down vs super explosive cannons seems a bit fair now..

This reminds me of the time someone came after me in a Buzzard after seeing me steal a jet and killing my friend. To make a long story short, I shot him down with the jet and parachuted onto the oncoming train.
