Haven't played much to give a real opinion. I just created my character and got through the prologue part, once the game really started I went back to gtao lol.

 

It's my fault thinking I could buy all these games at the same time and play them all at the same time smh

Drive club is very pretty, but I still spend more time on gta, graphics aren't everything. I'm replaying single player at the moment, the graphical improvements definitely show up more out of town but the better traffic variety plus dlc cars in traffic make more difference really

Infamous is beautiful. As well to boot it plays great and is worth the buy. You'll be buying first light once you play Second Son. LoL

The only game I can think of other than GTA V is Assassin's Creed Unity. While its launch was terrible, it still looks good, even on the consoles.

How/why was its launch terrible?

 

Terrible frame rate across all platforms, buggy AI, faces that look scarier than Nightmare On Elm Street, and falling through the map.

 

A month later, there has been 4 updates. I hope it's playable now.

I dont get it? Dont they test the sh*t before releasing it? Like what the f*ck? 

The people who pre-order are now the beta testers, they patch(finish the job ) over the following months or year in gtao's case

Well I hope so because just judging the ps4 vs ps3 from gta ... The ps4 isn't very good. Same graphics in a different resolution and the frame rate barely better.

If you're into racing, then Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2 are your answers. The lighting, detail, and use of power is just incredibly amazing in both games.. You would think an open world game, Forza Horizon 2, would skimp out on the graphics and just shoot the gun towards gameplay, right? Wrong! It capitalizes on both. Really a great game if you're looking for something simple and fun.

Poor reviews? Where have you been seeing this...? Everywhere I check all I see is GOTY and 90s, hell it has a 89 metacritic rating...

 

Anyway as of right now I'd say Drive Club looks amazing.. especially with the dynamic weather (which is a definite game changer and it's a thing of beauty), Battlefield 4 looks great as well, Unity as stated in the previous page had a terrible launch but there's no denying that every single cutscene and view of the city had me impressed visually.

 

Upcoming games would be The Division (unless Ubisoft messes that up too) Uncharted 4 and possibly a few others that I'm on the fence about... Bloodborne looks great but it might not to most of you.

Yeah, I definitely have to agree here. I've played almost every racing game, and this is one game that gets a 10/10 for me in gameplay and visuals. Everything is about attention to detail on the vehicles. It's so good, I got a fellow car-enthusiast to purchase his first console in 10 years after trying it out. Now he's got the force-feedback wheel with paddle-shifters and everything. I do have to say it's the ultimate driving sim.

 

With that said, I think first party games bring out the best in game development. Each console has some excellent show ponies in terms of visuals.

Yh sure a lot of games can LOOK better but how many of them have the amount of content and detail as gta v? how many of them allow you to physically travel to the landscapes you see in the distance or allow the freedom of gta?

 

I love uncharted, graphics are amazing but its is really just a hyper pretty super mario, you have to follow pretty much one path

Forza Horizon 2 and Battlefield 4 SP. Haven't installed Unity yet, but i imagine it looks damn near photorealistic at some points. Destiny barely looks no better than the old gen counterparts as well as the CoDs. I imagine that when the games get to the point where they can be released on a single engine dedicated to the xb1, ps4, and PC, that only then will we see how far hardware can be pushed.
