PS4- Can't go near other players for long or else session is lost

Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this.

 

I can join and play jobs just fine. I've been in some 20+ player jobs and there were no hitches at all, they worked perfectly.

 

I will usually get disconnected when switching jobs, have to deal with 5+ load time to get back into the lobby, or whatever.

 

I CAN play in lobbies. I was in two different 25+ player lobbies today. I could go around and do gang attacks. I could go roughly in the same area as other players, no problem. But the moment I get within 20ft or so, or have one get into my vehicle, within about 5 seconds my session crashes.

 

This is pretty consistent. Here's what it looks like when it happens sometimes.

Other times I'll have a player get into my car or helicopter and we'll go maybe 100ft down the road, then the same thing happens.

 

If I stay away from other players, I can stay in freeroam indefinitely.

 

Not sure what's going on.

I was thinking the exact same thing earlier on today. Most of my disconnects happen when in close proximity of other players. Missions and races are fine though, so it must be a free roam thing.
