He had to show daddy up and go back into Iraq and the first 6 months they fought iraqi troops than after the next 9 years it was all Islamic fighers.

I am very certain I know one of the people still trapped inside, they work at the store.

Although the police probably have the names of all of the hostages it doesn't hurt to call them and let them know that you might have one of the name of the hostages.

Hm. That does seem to be accepted usage. I find it to be too narrow, but I'm not going to argue with a dictionary.

 

From my perspective, once someone took hostages, the resolution of conflict can follow a counter-terrorist playbook. Motivations aren't important here. Just the fact that person in question took hostages and tries to use them as bargaining chips or shield to achieve his goals. Such a person needs to be destroyed first, with as little collateral damage as possible, and then we can sort through his motives to determine if he was, in fact, a terrorist.

 

But yeah, I guess, technically, referring to him as terrorist is a bit premature, since we don't know motivations yet. Though, it does seem likely given circumstantial evidence.

Just because the media and politicians are not using the word terrorist to describe acts of terrorism perpetrated by white people (Christians!) doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. It's all just propaganda and brainwashing. Cliven Bundy and his ilk are the perfect example of domestic terrorists in the US.

I wouldn't imagine they are dealing with a violent guy. He's always protesting against violence, that's his thing. This is another protest although a very big one, he probably also wants to talk about what he says is his unjust persecution by the government over the years too. Probably why people have been able to run out the door, I don't think he's going to shoot anyone.

Not only your statement is groundless, since you can't possibly know what my religious beliefs are, but is also quite insulting. You don't have any right to call me a ''islamophobe'' just because you missed the point of my words.

I am here referring to terrorism that is driven by religion obviously. My statement wasn't informed to discriminate anyone. I simply wanted to hint how islam, one of the most spread and by norms arranged religion, is very manipulative when it comes to living active religious life comparatively to everyday life. It is the most often abused religion and, unfortunately, often used as marionette for recruitment of terrorist groups.
