reform
They don't affect traction, but the higher profile the tire, the less the vehicle is effected by driving over curbs etc. On "high end"/"SUV"/"Sports" wheels, you might drive over a curb and have it send the car into a spin, but on offroad wheels it will be more likely to drive right over it comfortably. "Tuner", "Muscle", and "Lowrider" wheels are in between. Edited December 15, 2014 by reform

reform
If you can deal with how they look, yeah. I'll often opt for something from tuner/muscle/lowrider as they are also pretty good over curbs and they don't look as bad as offroad, but if you want the very best performance, then yeah, offroad tires are the best option. They don't even look bad so thats a bonus!
Dottie
off road tires on a super looks terrible regardless of rim choice If you want High profile tires on a super, tuner wheels are the way to go reform
josephballard482
Yeah tires don't actually affect any sort of traction but from my experience the bigger the wheels, the better when you actually go off road for suspension reasons

Jizzle2014
Yes they do make a noticible difference. I put some on my entity back in the day and I was driving over the mountains like there was no tommorow! Also, since the update in July, adding spoilers increases handling of the vehicles. I never liked my zentorno until I put the spoiler on and it had handling like an entity and speed like an adder!

There are tons of videos on youtube showing how different types of tires affect traction for different cars.
