BrownBear
Apparently my name translates to Ruler Head-Star, as in like the main star in the sky. In Turkey people created their own surnames, so everyone tried to make themselves look good and have cool names. D- Ice

N4TE
My first name isn't named after anything special, my dad just wanted a Colonial era name so he picked Nate. My middle name, however, is named after my dad's co worker who was killed in the line of duty right in front of him. His name was Hilary, and people think it's a girl's name so I get harrassed a lot because of it. sh*t's annoying.

thebreak
Free Mandarin lesson here: Chinese names are usually 2-4 syllables long, with one character per syllable. We put our last name at the front; first name at the back. If you meet someone with a 2-syllable name, chances are he/she's from China, but not always. My last name, fortunate for Chinese and unfortunate for English, is Wang(王), meaning king. It actually sounds closer to Wong. My first name is Po/柏(cypress) Yuan/元(first, origin, alpha...). All my siblings/cousins in the Wang family have Po in their names; I got Yuan because I am the first born. D- Ice
