R* do not care about Deathmatchs

It seems to me the only part of the creator community R* really cares about is the racing community and creators. Deathmatchs are ruined, almost unplayable and there's not enough of them in terms of verification and so on. I've played loads of amazing content so why havnt they been verified? I suppose they were too busy making heists. Yawn.........

 

My points:

 

- DM wins whether DM or TDM they do not record as wins on social club leader boards. It will only show your kills and K/D ratio which is all pointless if you don't know how many you have won and lost.

 

- HELMETS there is a growing number of players using helmets as extra armour. This is a massive problem not only because they end up deciding the outcome of DM's but because you just cant kill them with headshots. I'm big on my headshots and i was just wasting ammo trying to kill because i was aiming at their head. Its an unfair advantage even the best DM players will find ridiculous. So why not put a helmet on myself? well it only encourages this nonsense to continue and R* will just do nothing so NO ill stick to my coffee cop frames and my special carbine thanks. I enjoy DM's not being involved in some sort of military exercise. When you shoot someone in the head that many times and they dont die its a bit of a kick in the teeth and if you enjoy DM's it ruins the whole experience.

 

Lets put it like this do racers have extra turbos? No so why are players running around with these armoured helmets.

 

- Verified Content. How many races have we seen verified? Loads more than DM's. How many R* races do we have? More than enough! There hardly any verified R* DM's and there's not enough R* made DM's.

 

and of course all the connection issues combined really do put the cherry on top. Why are we all getting excited for something that is just making the current aspects of the game unplayable?

 

Am i upset and mad? No i just wanna play the game without connection issues every five minuets and of course without all these helmets running around ;)

Well... my social club shows my wins/losses in deathmatches. But i agree about the helmets, they are made to make you feel safe, and they protect from debris, or fragments from explosions. They don't stop bullets, unless you're taking the best helmet with Kevlar and shoot it with a small caliber round, from a distance. Oh, and yeah... some more (good) verified DM's would be nice!

1- Deathmatches are recorded on the Socialclub.

 

 

2- Everyone can use helmets. So it is fair. If you want to be the best you need to use everything at your disposal, just like having your car fully upgraded, you need to be fully armored for a deathmatch.

 

3- Racing is more popular than deathmatches. So that's why they verify more races. Plus there are way more races created than deathmatches.

 

 

4- They just released the LTS update. Seems like they care a little bit about deathmatches.

2- Bullsh*t a DM is a DM not a military training exercise. It is not fair because not all players will no how to aquire them or use them so its an advantage. Body armour fine this is GTA5 not Call of Duty.

 

3- Thanks for pointing out the obvious, i was getting at R* with my questions.

 

4- LTS are nothing like DM's you don't respawn so how is this like a DM? you use guns so what? You could make a capture and have it intended as a DM so another invalid point.

I somewhat agree that death matches are overlooked, but they are... Hilariously broken. Auto aim death matches are a complete joke, free aim death matches are a strange mix between GTA IV hipsters and total auto rifle abuse.

 

At this point they are just a fun time waster, so why would Rockstar invest in it more than they have with the LTS update? This is coming from someone with a fabulous~ w/l record too, but even I can admit it's not that serious of a game mode.

Sorry if i appear to be hostile its just i know there will be people argue against this thus giving R* even more initiative to do absolutely nothing plus I'm not in the mood to be communicating with people who don't have a clue what their talking about. Thank you for your comments some more good points made by yourself and i would encourage everyone who agrees with some of my points to speak out too.

 

I agree too that auto aim and free aim don't represent themselves very well when played at the moment and are very strange at times. Deathmatchs are just not the same any more and that's my favourite mode. As you said dosnt matter whether your free aim or auto they are both broken at the moment and should be looked into.

Helmets should be removed from the game. It won't happen though, so at least give the host the option to set helmets on/off.

Part of the issue is how do you really fix death matches without overhauling the game itself?

 

I think that might be partly the reason as to why Rockstar hasn't really messed around with the weapons and stuff yet.

I'm surprised that there wasn't a mention of the "line-of-sight" spotting: you see an enemy, he's on radar. Totally ruins what little stealth we have.. No more hiding in plain sight. :(

I didn't know you meant leaderboards, I apologize, I can see my W/L record, and at first glance I thought that's what you meant.

 

I still don't see the issue with helmets. Available to everyone so I don't see the issue, if they don't know about them then they should do their research.

 

LTS is a deathmatch without respawning. Only objective is to kill other players, just like a DM. Capture objective is not to kill other players, but to capture the flag. I understand that LTS and DM are different, but they are very similar.

 

Again I apologize for any hostile sounding response, it is not meant that way. I just think it's important to discuss all viewpoints on any given topic.

 

Edit: I do agree a helmet on/off for the host would be a good idea.

Yes you do, but R* implemented UGC and their own custom deathmatches to the game, so you would think R* would care about the players of those deathmatches.

That was one of the worst, straight up newbie hand holding things that's ever been added in any game. The fact more people didn't step up and speak out against it kind of gives away the percentage of DM players that take it serious.

The only issue with helmets is that they are idiotic.

 

R*: "Here, let's punish the players who have developed the skills to get headshots quickly by making those headshots worthless.

It's called CATERING TO CHILDREN. Kinda like "CATCHUP" in races, hmm? A more asinine feature in a video game has never existed. The only reason this crap is here is because if you are a kid, you will think it's "cool."

 

Guess what, we are already sadly lacking in unique appearances in this game, and this just goes a step further to destroy that. Just like everyone drives a Zentorno, it's on Rockstar to address balance so there's not a huge advantage to one choice in all aspects of the game.

 

But they obviously don't care and the people who DO care are clearly not allowed to make any decisions.

 

(See: Terrible DM spawns, power player bullsh*t and losing streak bullsh*t. Also the map automatically showing players somewhere in line of sight.)

Not liking deathmatches makes me selffish? Is that why I still play them with friends to help test their creations?

 

If Rockstar truly didn't care about them, why even let us create our own in the first place?

this pretty much makes silencers useless, coupled with the fact that even if you don't get seen, the rival is most likely using a helmet, which will make your sniper rifle useless unless he stays in the same spot for 3/4 shots

No kidding! It's bad enough that people can see other players by calling Lester... Also, they should have made a barrier around the Deathmatch area so people don't roam off into Los Santos or Blaine County, you know, like that Battlefield mechanic where you have 10 seconds before you get slaughtered.

No kidding! It's bad enough that people can see other players by calling Lester... Also, they should have made a barrier around the Deathmatch area so people don't roam off into Los Santos or Blaine County, you know, like that Battlefield mechanic where you have 10 seconds before you get slaughtered.

 

they also should add a cooldown timer to any lester's abilities, it's really annoying that the oppossing team is using him every goddamn minute, it only shows that they suck and want lester to hand hold them every second

If i could wish for one thing to come in the next update it would be a complete overhaul of the creator.

Its been out long enough as a Beta. Time to give us a fully fleshed out creator now.

Those helmets were just a bad idea to begin with. I would love to see them nerfed or removed altogether

 

While still enjoyable, deathmatches are the most disappointing aspect of the game for me. I sunk countless hours into Max Payne 3's deathmatches and had a blast doing so. I really wish they would have carried over some more things from MP3. I definitely miss the loadout system from MP3 as it gave a bit more strategy to the whole affair.

 

Anyway, they should get rid of the helmets and give us the option to only join DM's created or approved by R*. That would solve a lot of issues I have with DM's.

You're right, everyone walks around freeroam holding hand and smelling flowers. Not a violent environment in the slightest.

Here's what I think I'll try the list everything I can think of...

I'm in a small crew on Xbox one and we are currently #5 on the global TDM leaderboards and #1 for player created crews. We have a avg KDR in TDMs of 3.0 and don't wear helmets or use cheap tricks. So I'm not trying to brag but let you know my expertise in TDM is there.

 

1. They track of your wins, just not for the global crew leaderboards anymore and it makes sense to track it by kills because you can be mvp on the losing team so it's biased only counting your rank by wins. I can log on my social club right now and look my wins/losses up (I'm around 2300/1200 right now).

 

2. helmets - f*ck helmets. I host my own matches and I boot anyone I see with a helmet on. I wore em at first because everyone else did, then I would put it on if I seen people on the other team wearing them. But it got to the point where I would start my TDM lobby with no helmet, and wind up with one before it ended every single time. The only people that really wear these are little scared bitches who hide away with a shotgun, let you kill there whole team then decide to pop out and shoot you in the back after its safe. Lol. Just the fact u let me kill 3 of your team then PPP out shows me u don't care about winning all you wanna do is buff your KDR. It's a scummy way to play imo.

Referencing to koingwolf "it's like not modding ur car all the way up" hey guess what. If I put all the body mods on the zentorno, it looks like sh*t! Your helmet is like the giant ugly ass most expensive zentorno spoiler.

I spent a lot of time perfecting my TDM skills. I want my headshots.

I don't think there should be an on off option, but I do think they should just be permanently removed from this mode, like once u enter a deathmatch, it just comes off if your wearing it.

 

Calling Lester to reveal players - this is something the same little helmet wearing bitches abuse. I will kick you out of my lobbies (the perk of hosting your matches). This should be limited to ONE CALL per match. And this should only be used under certain circumstances. Ie - the other team is hiding away and won't come out or you ran around for 3 minutes and didn't see anyone at all because they're all hiding on roofs or something.

 

The new radar system on new gen - fix this sh*t. Make it how it used to be. Why am I on the radar for one minute? I can't sneak around or do anything. I don't even understand what sets this off. Bring back the line of sight only version that I just came from on last gen.

 

Power Player - the worst punishment possible for doing well. I can start out going 8-0, get power player and it goes to sh*t. Now I'm on the radar getting chased from every angle by a whole team and they get bull shark for killing me. Why should I just punished for doing good??? Like, if this is going to remain in the game then I should get a perk for being power player not the opposite. My suggestion is maybe since they can see me, I should be able to see them also as my own perk? Also since they can get bull shark for killing me then I should get bull shark pickups on the map I can take advantage of to counter-act this while I'm power player. Not only does this punish me, but also my team mates who may not be doing so good already, because now they're getting killed over and over also by the players who collected the bull shark bounties.

 

Losing streak perks (it isn't my fault your on a losing streak. Step your game up, seriously)

Quad Damage - this is reasonable but it should not be time limited. U can get a losing streak then wipe a whole team out with 6 bullets. This should not be time based but 1st kill only, to remove your losing streak

Reveal players - this is fine for losing streak.... I guess... also should be limited to 1 kill.

Hide blip - a big f*ck you to rockstar. This is glitched on new gen. If a player goes on a losing streak and uses this they remain off the radar for the whole match - rockstar pllllease fix this. It is complete nonsense. This should also be limited for 1 kill also.

 

Forced weapons: I would love to play this mode, but I wanna actually kill people not run around playing treasure hunt. The solution would be forced only matches were I can choose what gun everyone would use, ie options for rifles where you say start with the assault rifle and pickups for carbines and advanced guns. Or pistols where u start with a combat pistol and can pick up only other pistols on the maps. This would be awesome and I'd play AR only matches like this all the time of that was the case.

I see people say "oh I'm playing forced and pickups because it balances the game" NoOOoO it does not balance the game lol. It honestly makes it easier for me to ruin your day after I get the assault rifles and smack u around with your little SNS pistol.

 

Give me lobby options for the following:

Power player: on/off

Loser perks: on/off

Phone contacts: on/off

Forced weapons: choices for rifles/pistols/shotguns etc.

 

Also... Traffic on should not be an option this should just always be defaulted off. Why is this in the game???? Lol

 

There should be a limit to how far off the map you can go. Why do I have to chase someone up into the mountains all the time?

Last team standing doesn't let you leave the map, same with survivals. Once u leave the map you should get 15 seconds to come back. If you don't come back then your character should "commit suicide" and cost the team a point. I've never left the map and I don't understand why ppl even join a TDM just to drive to mount chilliad. It's perplexing.

 

LAG - I make video clips not of me getting awesome kill streaks. But of people lag killing me. Then I analyze em and make sure I was correct and I ussually am. Lol. The lag is heavy when u run into certain players. If your internet can't handle the game, you shouldn't be able to access it. This is rockstars fault for not limiting who can play. Also we should be able to visually see on the screen someone's inet connection maybe like a 4 bar icon that lights up how well your connection is running (like call of duty has). Then I can avoid these people with 1 bar of laggy internet before getting lag killed over and over. Also, I don't wanna play with people from Brazil or Australia, or anywhere overseas. I gotta send bullets to Australia from America and back? Lol cmon that situation is always laggy. Quick matchmaking me with these people... And on to the last and prob most important of anything...

 

MATCHMAKING IS SCREWED UP!!!

It seems like anytime a "on call" joins... Everyone starts lagging out from there after. 50%+ of people who try to quickjob lag out also... They created these 30 player maps, yet I haven't seen one full over 20 people. In that scenario, 50 people join, 30 lag out without even seeing the job lobby, then if it doesn't "lag launch" another series of players lag out at the prematch screen. Then the teams are unbalanced and people see they're on a team of 4 people vs 7 and they decide to leave also. Now u got 2 guys that stays and the match starts as a 2v7. This isn't something I'm making up its a typical scenario on new gen. Please fix this in the next update. Don't give me heists or cars or anything new. Just fix the game...

 

Rockstar needs to get sent a petition from all of us in the active TDM community to work on all these issues...
