@furry monkey

you got any tips on stunt practice #3? i cant figure out what im suppose to hit the wheelie with. ive hit the white sand/pallet (that was there in the beginning)/track stopper and the edge of the dock.. i still cant get accross!

Watch the video that accompanies it to see where I do that one. It's not a 100%er, but a long wheelie normally gets you over. It's the landing that can be a bit hairy then :D

you has videos showing me how to hit the stunts?! do tell! lol thank you very much.. ill check it out and get back to you.

edit: just spent over 50mins trying to hit the stunt on that video @26 seconds.. seemed like i was gettin closer but just cant land thre damn thing! nicely done by the way.. im sure practice makes perfect.. ill get back to basics.

4 things was always happening:

- either i hit the light pole before the wheelie hahaha

- hit the buulding right before it

- hitthe very edge of the building.. only to bounce up and not land it..

- too much speed and i fly right over it

very frustrating when you know youre gettin close only to not get it..

edit2: hahahah damn.. feelin like a pro after finishig the stunt #3nin a breeze.. and i thinkg we have the same color bike too.

pMKn1oa.jpg

so for tips and tricks..

- long wheelie on small ledge?

- timing for bigger ledge? or would long wheelie work too?

just a noob tryin to learn.. sorry about all the questions bro! :)

Higher lwdges usualy favour a later wheelie, rather than a longer one.

For my style i tend to wheelie last minute but thats just me

Yeah ^^ that. It's easy to do them for too long with a higher wall. You can still vary between long and short wheelies to get different effects, but timing becomes more critical the higher they are. It's just practise, practise, practise, and then some more practise!

exactly what i do!! i couldt finish stunt #3 cause i wasnt holdingthe wheelie long enought for the short ledge

dude that was sick.were you in a race with boost or free roam?

I must try that.

Thanks :D

It was in a race, but no boosts or props. I prefer to keep my stunts "pure" so that I can do them in free roam.

Here's the original clip that I sent him...

Link?

Ohh and me n a few mates would love to join a stunting crew.. If there r any :D

Just joined

I'm on ps4

Soooo furry have u moved onto the hackachou??

Nah I'm still a Ruffian man, through and through. That last video was for a stunt challenge and it was just "use a Hakuchou". In an ideal world the Akuma would actually pull wheelies at top speed and I'd dump every other bike. Maybe I'll start petitioning Rockstar, and by petitioning I mean nagging :p

The race I made to practise that stunt was just 2 checkpoints - 1 where the video starts and 1 on the bridge just past where I finish. It's probably easier to just make one yourself as the one I made is one of my dummy tester ones and they get changed often. Also, it's not showing on the social club for some reason, so I can't link it for you :p

It can be so frustrating when you can't land a stunt can't it!? But when you finally hit it boy does it feel good. I've been playing furry's stunt practice tracks again (great work btw furry!) and I haven't raged so much on gtao for a while ha but when it clicks and you start landing it, it feels great!

In regards to the late wheelie mate- it helps massively to let go of the accelerator, and then wheelie and accelerate again straight after, about 5 metres of so before the ledge. This really helps the bike wheelie at high speed.

thats a good tip actually, the extra acceleration (from dropping down form the top end) does really help pop up the front end... didnt even think about it but i kinda naturally do that anyways, althoug the ruffian is very forgiving for wheelies I first started stunting/bike parkour on my akuma... a pig to wheelie, but fast as hell

I do recognise that, and hadn't thought of that one. It's on the East. Just get on the train tracks and follow them out. I *think* it's around the building with a helipad about 1/3rd of the way up the map.

i meant to say east lol... i was riding down there last night and theres a couple down the train line... this one seems to have the best approach, the others are a bit sketchy (although possible as i nearly landed one)

Nicely done! :D

If I may offer a couple of bits of advice - wheelie a LOT during the run up. This will mean you're at the bike's top speed when you get to the jump. Someone once told me this and I thought "pffft... I lean forward all the time", but it makes a drastic difference. Also, when gliding try and not lean back as far. As soon as you go past being horizontal then it loses effectiveness. It's still better than not doing it, but can be better. I tend to keep my front wheel just a little higher than the back, and that seems to be the "sweet spot".

It's nice to see my races being put to good use though - thanks for posting that :D

When you glide do you rock furry? I know a lot of peeps (hazardous, kwebble) tend to rock slighty but i cant favver if thats helpin them glide or just microadjustin their position

@jedi whats your psn so i can add you for sundays meetup

It's actually moving the left stick in a circle. It's easier to stay in position doing that, than trying to just hold it. The bike will fight to right itself if you just hold the stick steady.

I tought I was good at stunts until I saw this topic. I actually never got out of LS River where I just do backflips and jumps on the walls.

I will get out of LS River and learn how to do real stunts with the pros.I know how to time the wheelies right most of the time and I got the bikes now I only need to learn. Also I never knew about gliding before reading this topic. I can't wait to try theses awesome tracks when I get back home.

Thanks a lot.

ive literall just added two new tracks from one of my fellow RRR (and now cunning stunt team) member Dutch, he has two "races" that are basically jsut checkpoints at good jump spots...

as soon as i get in game ill be testing them out and taking some videos.

@Cuz05 - i see you stalking lol

No problem, thanks for making the tracks :)

Thanks for the advice too, all helps :)

Just added the rest off your tracks, off to buy a Ruffian and give them a try :)

very frustrating! hahah but not to the point where i want to slam the controller.. just to the point where you tase enough good so you keep tryin over and over. thanks for that tip! never even imagined letting go of that acceleration button.. its always held down the whole time so ill give it a shot.

ahhhhh, learng something new every day...

aint tha the truth! school is always in session.

@furry monkey

i have yet to find that sweet spot! everytime im floating the bike does a backflip and i end up falling right below the target. thanks for another good tip wih the analog stick.. ill be tryin that too.

just picked up a ruffian last night!! tha thing is a wall rider.. very forgiving w/ the wheelie and seemed way easier than the hakuchou. my favorite bike is and will always be the akuma tho.. that thing is a BEAST

edit: nothing to see here.. just fixing a name..
