I have the Australian flag on my Dukes and no one seems to grief or troll me when i drive around in that car. Racism is seriously frowned upon in Australia. I Won't grief anyone while flying the Aussie Flag.... well not because of race or anything like that, they prolly unjustly killed me. I treat everyone with respect first, if they burn me i'll turn on them.

I had two German f*cks ram me continuously for an entire race while insanely giggling nonstop the entire time. It don't think it had anything to do with nationality, more like an illustration of GTA0 player IQ on display.

If you're referring to the Brown case, that is such bullsh*t! Have you seen what he was doing? Well, he robbed a store, resisted arrest and proceeded to assault a cop, so the cop fought back. Tell me more about that was racially motivated.

The Garner case is a different story. Even though Garner was a persistent offender and did resist arrest, the cop applied an illegal manoeuvre and should be punished for that.

Still, people are glorifying these two idiots (Brown and Garner) as if they were martyrs or something, when they were really just pathetic street criminals who got what they deserved. Did you know that Garner had been involved in over 30 crimes prior to this? You'd think he would stop after the third or fourth I'm not saying that justifies the cop's action, but, well, nothing of value was lost.

 

OT: I doubt those guys rammed you for being Scottish, I think they were just being assholes, as most people seem to be in races, which is why I only do non-contact races these days.

Yes. That's the case. The only reason Mike Brown was unarmed was that he was unable to wrestle the gun away from the cop. He punched the cop several times, they fought over the gun, cop shoots him, he backs off. Then he charges the cop. Cop laid him down. Nothing to do with race until CNN shows up.

 

The media uses a picture of Mike Brown from when he was 14 years old and innocent faced. At this time Mike was 18, a Blood gang member, 290lbs and 6'4.

 

What really pissed me off about this is it takes away from the real cases of racism. There is real racism in the world and every time these bullsh*t stories come up it makes people care less about the real instances.

Nah, not bull - quite truthful though I happily concede people's experiences differ. I know of a few other worldly english travellers who would agree with me, but also at least one who would swear that the Scottish were the most friendly people the world has ever known. He's english too and would nod sagely in agreement with you. By contrast, he found nz to be the most resentful country whereas my years there as a 'pom' saw me experience nothing more than fairly light hearted p#ss taking and the odd moody Maori.

 

In any case, and back on topic, I'd still maintain that in a game like this, there is no serious problem with 'bigotry', only a bit of banter and few overly sensitive snowflakes.

But seriously, R*, release more regional flags, both US and British, I'd love to hang the White Rose from my monster truck, and I'm sure there are lots of other US and British citizens who would love to display their regional colours instead of the national ones.

In all honesty, the most racist people I have ever met were Scottish people, and that racism was directed towards English people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna generalize and I know for a fact that not all Scots are like that for two reasons. 1, I have several Scottish friends that aren't like that. 2, I'm not a stupid c*nt.

 

Also, a lot of people aren't thinking further than the news a few months ago where they saw some nice, friendly people saying they were happy with the way things were, and some very unfriendly people shouting about how they wanted to be free from ties with that scum down south. It's the most recent thing many people are gonna think of. It'll pass.

England is a very, very mixed bag, and it depends heavily on where you go in the country. The city I live in is one of the cities that attracts immigrants, and I can get 10 different languages going past my living room window in an hour. I like it, some don't. Meh.

Was in a session with a few players and all was good. Eventually went into an off-road race and got the monster truck where you can pick your flag. I'm from Scotland so naturally I chose that flag. There were two guys with Stars and Stripes, one with a UK flag and another with the English flag (St George).

 

As soon as the race started the guy with the UK flag and the guy with the English flag start smashing into me and don't stop. I mean they go completely out of their way to make sure that I can't do anything at all.

 

It was pretty frustrating and very obvious that they didn't like me simply because of my flag. Neither of the two had even bothered with me before that.

 

I know that we get idiots and people who play just to create hassle for other players but it was sad to see outright bigotry in the 21st century.
