Was in a session with a few players and all was good. Eventually went into an off-road race and got the monster truck where you can pick your flag. I'm from Scotland so naturally I chose that flag. There were two guys with Stars and Stripes, one with a UK flag and another with the English flag (St George).

 

As soon as the race started the guy with the UK flag and the guy with the English flag start smashing into me and don't stop. I mean they go completely out of their way to make sure that I can't do anything at all.

 

It was pretty frustrating and very obvious that they didn't like me simply because of my flag. Neither of the two had even bothered with me before that.

 

I know that we get idiots and people who play just to create hassle for other players but it was sad to see outright bigotry in the 21st century.

Admit it, you would have missed us if you were independent. England is the birthplace of the curry, the kebab and the pizza; would you have denied yourself such awesome luxuries just for the sake of independence?

or maybe they were just assholes like most people are in random races? like 90% or the races i join there is always someone that crashes into everything, trying to pit everyone etc..

 

actually brittish people tend to be the most friendly in gta, by my experience.

Have an English flag in a race with 5 scots and you'll see them do the same. It's just how it is, nothing really malicious behind it but the flags give an opportunity to find common ground with another player. When you find common ground in a pvp game you look for a common enemy. France/England, England/Scotland, whatever - I'll bet even those pleasant fellows in Canada would gang together to knock an American aboot if they were 3 to 1 in a race.

Changing the status of any country in the UK would make little difference to anything. We all still have the same sh*t we had yesterday.

I'm from Yorkshire and we all know the rivalry between us and Lancashire, War of the Roses and all that, but today things have changed. It's not East V West now, it's North V South!

 

London and the Soth East have screwed everyone north of Watford over for decades. Clearly your bigots were from there, think about it, where are the 2 UKIP MP's polishing their jackboots?

Erm, what about the flag of St Patrick, the Northern Ireland flag?

 

I'll give the curry on tenuous historic grounds, but pizza is italian.

 

And for the record, inter UK rivallry is natural. I'm a Red Rose - so my natural foes are Yorkies and the Scousers. England and Scotland have long been rivals, nowt to do with bigotry or the referendum, it's just history.

Sometimes you meet some really weird people online and get frustrated by them.

Then I just remember its GTA after all. Still I find it a pretty funny move by the two guys, they probably meant nothing serious with it.

 

It's still not as creepy as one Australian who was stalking me telling me he would search for me IRL and kill me for leaving his own made race playlist. He sent me over 30 voice messages overnight before I blocked him.

Ninety percent of the GTA world is full of players with an IQ similar to their shoe size.

Those two players were just another example of it.
