Players who lock PV's/speed off alone during jobs...

I'm sure we've all experienced this at some point. A number of players spawn in a location at the beginning of a job and are unable to enter another players' vehicle because they either race off on their own or have locked their vehicle. It's especially galling when they honk honk honk their horn to offer you a ride but they haven't figured out they can set the vehicle preference option to be unlocked for passengers...

WHY?!?

I mean... Jobs demanding multiple players are obviously easier WITH everyone working together, not a lone wolf maverick doing it alone! And if they wanted that why the hell would they join a job with other players anyway?!

And if they honk their horn to offer you a ride and their vehicle is locked down it's their fault, not mine! The time it takes to open up a message and type 'Vehicle is locked!!!' and send it the other players are halfway to the mission start and it's quicker to just boost a random vehicle on the road and make your own way there!

Not every player always has their own vehicle in use during the game either. I usually start jobs first when heading online for a few sessions, plus the odds of having your own vehicle getting trashed by some random session twat are fairly high so I rarely take my prized vehicles out of my garage.

Rule of thumb; if you WANT to take other players along with you to a job, make sure you understand how to operate your damn vehicle preferences!

I always keep my vehicles completely unlocked now. Including driver's seat. Now that virtually everyone has it either locked to friends or passengers only, it rarely happens that someone gets in my car and drives away in free roam. And even if someone does, I call my mechanic and their fun time ends abruptly. It's very good for missions

Call your mechanic.

Takes the same amount of time as sending a message to tell players their vehicle is unlocked... By which time everyone else is halfway to the start...

Because I'd rather be able to drive around as and when I want instead of collection my vehicles from the insurance place every five minutes...?

Just make sure you have a PV outside of your garage before starting a mission. Even if it gets destroyed, they pay insurance. It's your own fault when your standing there alone on a dirtroad because everyone else has driven off to the objective. Just get your f*cking PV out.

I do this sometimes, but I don't tease the other player by honking my horn. I do it one, because I'm going to get a buzzard and do not want a passenger with me giving the crazy eye aim w the missiles, and two, when doing a mission like rooftop rumble, i like sneaking on top of the bushes and mauling them down because there's that 3sec opening when the first bullet goes off and they seem all confused and you can pick each of them off before they can even get a bullet in you. by the time im done with that the other dudes are arriving to pick off the rest of them coming via cars and another guy is waiting for the documents. also saves 3k of ammo when people insist of lighting the place up with RPGs. otherwise im driving a 4dr hoping to pile as many people in as possible but some rather fly solo in their adder or zentorno.

Beacuse it's a f*cking cooperative job. 90% of mission failed are caused by people like you.

90% of the players I met are dumb anyway.

Why should I pick up an idiot who can't aim or lack the brain cells to use the Micro SMG instead of the AP pistol and risk failing the mission? Plus, 70% of my vehicles are bikes. Sometimes a random NPC turd decides to ram me off the road, sometimes even killing me. Instead of wasting 1 life why should I kill the passenger with me? Plus 99.99% of the time everybody have their cars with them. Why should I try picking up somebody whrn they got their car with them?

Anyway, after that day when that idiot blew up the targeted car and failing the mission because I carried him with me, I stopped picking up anybody unless they are beginners.

this ain't a taxi cab... I hate how everybody expects a free lift on a 5 minute drive..

On a lot of missions, it's easier if everyone has their own car...means if one person drives up to mission wrong and it lags, only one person dies :p

To those saying "get your own car, this isn't a taxi" and such, with no reasons attached: you are douchebags. Plain and simple: douchebags.

If it's so f*cking cooperative, then what the hell are you doing coming to the job unprepared? So everyone should be ready and able to give someone a ride, except you?

Pffft. Get your own car and stop whining about having to wipe your own drool from your face.

they assume you have come prepared or are capable of locating your own car. is it better to have a car and not need it than to need a car and not have it? i dunno mate, i always bring a car.

as to the honking and been locked. maybe the driver mistakenly thought they had set to "anyone". seems more likely than simply trying to piss you off.

i drive to the objective and wait. often other players are already there also waiting / taking up positions. having those extra cars can also be useful as useful extra cover positions.

i know that the world revolves around you, but if we can pretend for a minute it doesn't.

those other players paid the same for their cars and if they get damaged are billed accordingly. if everyone took your attitude the start of every mission would be 4-8 players standing on the street waiting for someone to get a PV so they could sponge a lift.

RULE OF THUMB just bring a car and see if you need it.

bring your own fukking car. simples. You know we could actually have some fun racing to the start of the mission if you had been considerate enough to bring your own car OP. As for it getting wrecked wise the fuk up. you car is renewed when you go back to free mode.

Because there are a lot of chumps who drive off with mine and wandering around with it or to whack other players. How can I let it open then?

Hell, even when I unlocked passenger seat, they would still get out and shoot my car because they can't drive it away.

Unless they have professional attitude, my vehicle will always be on locked or passenger.

You have mechanic. Call one on your own.

my cars are always unlocked, if someone wanna drive it im fine with that, as long as i get a ride to, if a person just drives off with my car and i dont get a ride by someone in a mission, its trolling time, lock the car so they get kicked out, then they usually blow it up and then i go and f*ck up the mission by blowing up the wrong stuff..

Eh. I used to leave mine set to everyone. Got tired of seeing my car wiz past me without me in it. People are only out for themselves.

Show up with a decent ride for a mission or do not show up at all.

I had some randoms show up in a slow as sh*t Ratloader and even a BMX. Do not expect me to give them a lift.

I set my car to access friends only. Most randumbs are douchebags. They go joy riding with my ride and forget about the mission. Others steal my Pegasus Buzzard after I took them to the drop off point.

With my female avatar I had a hotpink Z-Type. For some reason nobody wanted to have a lift anymore .
