Vertighost
(Edit: Sorry mods I shouldn't have posted here, please move this to the Help and Support section) I have experienced many times I will load up my game, start playing, then after a short amount of time the game will go to a loading screen and start from the beginning at North Yankton. I can then load up my save and play as usual, but this is bugging me. Has anyone experienced this? Also I noted sometimes my save game will have (backup) at the end of it, which I find weird. I think it may have something to do with my net connection, I don't have PS Plus so I haven't played GTA Online yet, but I think it only happens when my PS4 is connected to my wifi. championpuffa
maybe something to do with the cloud saving is all i can think of but then you usually need psplus for cloud saving. it would seem your save file is dissapearing an you are having to revert to the back up version hence why the save file says back up after it. i would check your cloud settings an make sure cloud saving is turned off an it only saves to your console locally. also double check your hdd space an make some room if need be. its odd why your save would be deleted or not there when you dont have ps plus as your console should be saving locally anyway. it does seem like your ps4 is trying to save to the cloud but cant so it is only able to save your back up to your hdd. it sounds like your save is being deleted mid way through playing aswell which is even odder. hence why it will go back to the start mid way. doesnt make much sense tbh. if you had psplus then it would make more sense of this happening when your offline due to it not being able to connect to the cloud an get your up to date save file. double check your save data settings, your hdd space an if that doesnt work maybe try deleting the game an re-installing it. obviously do not delete your save data.
