They could just have a private match (not just inv only) where you don't progress or earn money but have a mod/cheat menu, but hackers would ruin that

I could see the "Slidey cars cheat" working in Online. It removes the speed cap, so the sports cars, muscle cars and supercars go fast as F*CK especially when upgraded. It would make drag racing pretty fun.

 

If you don't belive me, try it out in singleplayer. 4WD cars seem to accelerate faster with the slidey cars cheat on, so grab a 9F or Elegy, upgrade it, and it'll go so fast it's not even funny. Leave the turbo off because of the "turbo makes cars go slower" glitch.

There's enough cheating in online games as it is, especially this one. Why people give up on actually "trying" to play and rely on cheating to get ahead is beyond me. It's almost not worth playing at that point, the cheat is doing everything, not you, just watch a video or something, YOU'RE not really doing anything anyway.

Why, you don't read your own posts? I literally described "legitimate" cheating in different games, which you're asking for with movement cheats. You think having superspeed or moon jumps isn't going to be abused by warriors of the free roam?

I am familiar with how the PC community functions. But since rockstar is trying to make online a mmorpg, I HIGHLY doubt that they would allow cheats/mods on the PC version. Why? Because goodbye cashcards, goodbye any extra form of profit for the PC versions. That's why i either came to the conclusion, A. GTA Online will not be available for PC, or B. GTA Online will not be moddable for PC. And since I hear that rockstar allows a switch from console to PC, I am almost positive it's B.

OP sorry man bad idea. First off I don't know where you got the idea IV had dedicated cheat servers. I played over 2000 DM +TDM combined on IV. Three things made me quit, one was the modders, the turbo controller users, and the lag switch/ frag stick users, not in that specific order. But the turbo users took the cake over the modders. While on GTAO on the PS3, not so much of the turbo users, but you have lag switchers, there are also people who use gun mods, which are basically subtle mods the average person wouldn't take any notice of. But if you played enough IV like I did, you would know when came across someone with "funny guns" in pretty much any MP game. I don't have anything against mods, or modders, just keep it in a private server among your friends. If you want to cheat OP, learn to be a real cheat and count cards, then take that skill to Vegas, and hopefully you don't get caught in the process. But leave it out of public MP video games, there's no need for it.
