Should Rockstar make the limited holiday vehicles available again?

With a new year coming up, I thought I'd ask this. Should Rockstar make the Roosevelt, Liberator, and Sovereign available again when their respective holidays come?

 

Do you think that people who missed the vehicles the first time should get a second chance? Or is it too much of a slap in the face to those who still have them? Should the vehicles not be made available ever again?

 

Also, if you don't think so, should new limited vehicles be developed in lieu of the Roosevelt, Liberator, and Sovereign?

Hate to speak for others but I would guess he wants limited and exclusive items to remain limited and exclusive. As was their original purpose. I really dont see how people dont grasp this.

 

Re releasing limited items like they did with CE vehicles ruins their exclusivity. Its really that simple. No point in having these items limited at all if the company is going to give into complainers who missed the opportunity. Right?

No it wouldn't.

 

On the next gen consoles, there is a spawn location for the Roosevelt. Sure the car only spawns in SP, but technically, it's available to anyone who missed the opportunity to pick one up. Despite this, the Roosevelt still has that limited stigma attached to it.

If they make the vehicles available again then its just a slap in the face for the people who took the time to get these so called time limited and exclusive items, You didn't get them first time tough tits you had your chance, Sadly R* will release them again its in their nature.

When the roosevelt came out I had no money pretty low level and no possible way to get the money in the limited time.

 

But then in a mission I drove one a guy had and it was the biggest pile of junk, since then I didn't care about it.

I personally think they should. It would give one of my friends a chance to get it again, as he was unfairly locked away from using his character with his Roosevelt, due to a glitch.

 

Also, people who were unlucky enough to not be around during the earlier days would get a chance to experience the vehicles as well. I don't see a reason why Rockstar shouldn't do this.

Performance is not part of the appeal of these vehicles. Nor is it supposed to be.

My 1st character was born on February 22nd so I just missed the V-Day limited stuff but no, as much as I'd like to get my hands on a gusenberg sweeper I'd rather they didn't bring it back. Unfair to other players who got it plus I like the idea of the opportunity to have something others can't.

 

I think it'd be great if whenever gta6 comes out that we can transfer characters and all cars even if some of our transferred cars arent in the actual GtA6 game. Thus making certain cars that u kept from gta5 rare/unobtainable in gta6....

After this year, as long as they kept the Roosevelt unlocked for people who bought it like they did with the sovereign, I wouldn't care if they never offered it again.

 

I also hope they offer the valentines clothing again, simply because I forgot to buy the cupid masks last year.

No they were limited time for a reason. If they do re release them though they should dramatically increase the price so people will be less likely to buy them.

Some interesting replies in here. I thought I'd share what I think Rockstar should do.

 

I think Rockstar should re-release the holiday vehicles for players who didn't play the last gen version. (Yes, this means that returning players would get another opportunity to purchase the vehicles.) But after that, the vehicles won't be released again, ever.

 

I think this solution is fair since it gives everyone, regardless of which system they started their GTA Online career on, an opportunity to purchase the vehicles. Yet, the Roosevelt, Liberator, and Sovereign will retain their rarity/exclusivity since they won't be released over and over and over again.

 

This re-release would be for current gen systems only.

That's a good point, limiting the re-release to the current gen systems. I added that to my solution.

 

Re-releasing them on last gen would definitely be a slap to the face.

What if they dont even release the same stuff? I dont think they would "recycle" limited time content you have to wait a whole year for.

I hate the idea of limited time items, and I have them all. They should all just be made available permanently.

It must really suck for players who want the item but have no means of getting the item. I'm not saying that it's going to stop them from playing, but it must be discouraging for them.

The Valentines Day Massacre DLC introduced some of the best clothing in the game, one of the wackiest vehicles in a GTA game, and the best SMG. It's a shame other people can't get these items.

Knowing Rockstar, and their approach to GTA Online, they'll just keep pushing the same 'limited' DLC every year. So hopefully people will be able to get the things they missed the first time around.

Due to a PSN change I now lost all of my limited time gear, so it'd be nice to get all of it back. The gusenberg was my favourite weapon, too

This. They should have never made the CE cars available either. I don't have any but it is a slap in the face to all whom have spent the extra cash for the CE.

 

I for one will not buy the CE GTA6 when it comes out. Thats for sure.
