jessos1
So I installed San Andreas onto my laptop and it was all fine until yesterday when it started minimizing every 2 minutes or so, I can't figure out if it is something running in the background I put my antivirus on game mode, and closed everything else running in the background. It's strange because when I noticed it was happening I jumped on to play another game, then that started jumping to the desktop and it never had before (that game has since started running fine again). The only thing I have changed was buying a new wireless mouse yesterday. When it jumps to the desktop there are no messages that have popped up or anything, I tried re-installing and that still didn't work. Could it be the windows 7 aero theme? Thats about the only thing I can think of because when I run the game a message is displayed before it opens saying it will be turned off. Also I thought maybe if I ran it windowed with the mod it would resolve it, but the same thing except instead of minimizing it pauses the game. Thanks guys. lil weasel
The game changes the theme to Basic that should have been your first pop-up when starting the game. Which version did you buy?
jessos1
It's V 2.0, I seriously can't figure this out.
lil weasel
how close is your machines specs to the Recommended: • Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better) • 384(+) MB of RAM • 16x DVD-ROM drive (or download) • 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install • 128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better) • DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card • Keyboard & Mouse • <Optional> GamePad with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port) (Not a console controller) You do have your instantiation DVD in the drive while playing? Did you install with Admin Privileges? What is the Operating System. If it is other than XP have you tried *compatibility mode* XP? jessos1
Pretty sure all is better than recomended, it runs fine with full graphics options. Running it with the disk if that is what you mean I don't use a no-cd crack but the disk tray is snapped but still works, I'm not sure if I installed with admin privileges and I have Windows 7, I tried compatibility mode but it won't start once I've set it.
