Your dumbest deaths in GTA:O

Me and some fellas were just playing Landing Strip. We took out the baddies and were all clammering to get into the jet. Next thing I know I'm looking at a WASTED screen. My guy is lying there, sandwiched between the plane's door and the sand. I'm in awe as the other players continue to enter the plane, trampling my body along the way.

That definitely has to be the dumbest death I've experienced in this game. What about you guys?

I trusted another player not to kill me when approaching him.

I was cruising in my car and I saw a rhino , i thought the army was in town, I went to give him a salute and I got a salute back with 60 tons of gunpowder to my face.

Probs doing that,"Titan of a Job" mission and after landing it I somehow managed to walk into the propellers somehow. Good times.

most likely the time i was doing the mission for lester where you destroy police vehicles, me and a random player where using a car lester provided, i get out to put sticky bombs on cop cars except i drop one next to our car (at the time i didn't think much of it), i detonate the bombs and kill us both.

Had this happen to me too. Later found out we can change that to default in the controls menu

I had a similar experience to Hugh, except that I was attacking an Armoured Truck. While I did manage to throw a sticky bomb onto the truck, I was too close to it when it detonated.

I got killed by a dead NPC's gun going off when it hit the ground during a gang attack when my health was in the red. Guns that have been made in the past 100 or so years do not work that way, Rockstar.

Hit a wall on my Bati by accident pretty hard, fell down, go to get up, died. Really unsure how this is possible.

Playing Titan of a Job, got the Titan, was flying to the airstrip, decided the Titan was a sturdy plane, so I decided to browse the forums.

I was on a roof and my opponent was on the street, close to the wall of the building. "I'll just climb on the rail, stand there & waste him" I thought to myself. The rail wasn't wide enough so my character jumped over it :-/

That and probably dying because a pushbike was sitting on me and my character wouldn't get up

I've probably had quite a few! One I remember was fighting off the mercenaries at the Burton lsc. I was on the lowest roof taking them out fine. Down to the last one, walked a bit forward to get a better shot, walked straight off roof then fell head first to my demise.

 

My friend was watching at the time, so unfortunately had an audience to my stupidity. At least they kept the Mesa for me (still in my garage as a reminder!).

The tail rotor was in the bush and the moment I killed the pilot, the rotor broke, causing the helicopter to rotate.

Press the sticks too hard so instead of popping from cover and ambushing a player with my rifle I ambush him with some middle fingers/cigarette smoking/pelvic thrusts etc...

When I was new to the game I would take every opportunity to make money, and when I spot that person with a 9000 bounty on his head I went straight for him, in some sports car and armed with sticky bombs. Happens that during the car chase I throw the sticky bomb on his car's back and detonate it right away. Ended up with only me dead because the sticky bomb did not stick to his car, it sticked to the ground.

I shot down a helicopter and it fell straight on top of me and exploded.

Was doing last chopper outta LS with a random, he gets the chopper and he picks me up to go to the warehouse. At the warehouse he flies above the checkpoint weirdly, causing the game to think we landed or some sh*t. So the game forces us out of the chopper. He was hit by the tail rotor, I was hit by the main one: both dead: fission mailed.

 

Another time I was doing Out of Court Settlement, killed lots of cops for the extra RP (spent quite some time on that). Drove back to Madrazo and losing them, being very near to his house, I do a small jump with the car and it instantly explodes upon landing... Mission failed

When was chasing 7k bounty, ended up with he get esacped from car while sitcky bombs were on his car, then i paid for my car and his car 24,000$ and also i didnt get the bounty, what a shame

It was pre-PS4, or I'd have an animated gif of it that would prove useful on this forum at times, but I went to do a stunt on my Ruffian, came off the bike and had only the tiniest bit of health left, and my bike (which had gone flying very high) came crashing down on me and finished me off. (And I don't mean in a good way ).

Jumped when I meant to reload because I play multiple games and plummeted to my death in front of a car I really wanted and had been searching for- for at least 45 minutes
