The Lonesome Drifter
I don't know about many of you guys, but it just feels to me that Ubisoft lately are just pumping out products just for the sole purpose of getting the strongest footing on "current" gen let me show you an example... Ubisoft releases this past year: -Watch_Dogs: heavily criticised for it's boring side missions and highly repetitive and un-engaging story. Also was proven to have graphics enhanced during pre release footage to give impressions over next gen console power, only for it to be revealed "false advertising" -Assassins creed Unity: yet another wheel in the crumbling AC franchise. With a albeit decent main character, but once again completely if outing the modern day story that's been dragged on for around 7 years now. In terms of gameplay it's also been criticised for bland world designing (heavy overused of certain building textures for example) and possible game-breaking glitches. -Assassins creed Rouge: the second game in the same franchise to come out this year, both within a month. Although this can be argued that a second game was necessary due to the processing power of last gen consoles not being strong enough to run Unity (although it can run Watch_Dogs, that has similar, if not identical graphics), many fans of the series may see this as a cash grab due to the completely separate stories ( the sole link towards Rouge and Unity is so minor it might aswell not exist) -Far Cry 4: honestly in my opinion this is Ubisoft's only good game all year, but on a professional note. The game can be considered a simple reskin of far cry 3's gameplay and mechanics. With very little changed in terms of playstyle ( although some new gismos are added) and a definitely smaller (and poorer) storyline to accompany it ( but the cast is superb however, Pagan Min actually give Vaas a run for his money ). However I'll give credit where it's due and say that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" (RIP Sweet Johnson). -The Crew: in it's early days yet, and personally I've not played it. But with only average reviews (for example getting a metacritic score of 59%), despite constant delays and overhyping. It obviously isn't fairing as well as they hoped. -Rayman Legends (Rerelease): Although it's only a rerelease. The lack of any significant new additions to the story shouldn't justify a £35 price tag. That is all. Obviously when considering this against other big brands, it shows that ubisoft are getting a little too greedy currently. And are not releasing their games to scratch. I know that, after all, they are a business only out for them dollars, but a lot of their games currently seem to just not be up to scratch anymore. I'm gonna be keeping my distance from future Ubisoft games for a while until they stop overworking their employees and produce fewer games with more quality and storywriting, instead of just releasing as many IP's in a year as they can. What are all your thoughts on this matter? Do I have a valid point, or am I just a whiny self-entitled loser with no respect for games? Cause I wanna see what you all think. mareepx
I think that if wasn't a big name such as Ubisoft, and some company that we hadn't heard of or just wasn't a household name, people would have much higher opinions of these games. And one of the main problems is overhype itself. Now, it is partly the fault of Ubisoft for hyping it, but the consumer has to buy into it too. I'd have thought that after GTA V or at the latest Watch_Dogs people would stop hyping games to the highest degree, because they're frankly unrealistic expectations. I had another point to make but that has escaped my mind at this very moment. On a personal note, I really like The Crew. It's an open world racing game which does exactly that - its superior in (almost) every way to Test Drive Unlimited 2 which has a metacritic score of 68 (http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/test-drive-unlimited-2). The driving mechanics are mighty fine and the map is the entire USA - how can any racing fan not be content with that? But I do think that you have a point. Personally, I'd rather these games had extra input and care. But they're a bloody business. Do you really expect them to NOT be greedy? Nick1020
I'd probably love Ubisoft more if they didn't overhyped their games and have cliche stories. Zello and _Klebitz_
Maxxeine
The reasons you pointed out is why I'm not very keen on Ubisoft and why I haven't purchased any Ubisoft games this year, except for Watch Dogs. The way that they constantly see PC gamers as nothing but pirates, getting their games out in time for the holidays to bump up their sales and please their shareholders, and flat out rushing games, on top of producing yearly releases of Assassin's Creed just gives me a bad taste in the mouth and a very pessimistic opinion on Ubisoft. In fact, I was actually looking forward to AC Unity, seeing as I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan. But after seeing all of the reviews on Steam, even on console; I just completely gave up. While Far Cry 4's PC port isn't that bad (according to TB's port report) I still have no interest in supporting Ubisoft any further if this trend keeps up. I really want to enjoy their games. They've proven they can make amazing games, such as Assassin's Creed II, IF they can take their time developing it, and getting it ready for store shelves. Not just rushing it out to market to get more sales because it's the holidays.

Zello
I'll give them a pass on Watch_Dogs it's a new IP time will tell if they mess it up like they do with their other games. If we see a new Watch_Dogs every year or if they pull the same sh*t again show us better features and graphics that don't make it into the final cut I'll never take them seriously as a company ever again. Johan
It's pretty disappointing how much they've gone downhill after having a pretty interesting last few years from Rayman to Far Cry 3 (&Blood Dragon) Trials and so on... their last few titles are really getting me nervous for The Division. Hell even EA is moving uphill slowly, IMO they're in a better position than Ubisoft right now. Zello
Creed Bratton
I am done with Ubisoft. It's as simple as that. Every game they release, with bugs or otherwise, feels unfinished because of all the Uplay crap that they put in and all the content that they cut to sell it later as DLC. And then there's microtransactions now in fully priced titles. They're making their products really inconvenient for me. D9fred95
it seems that ubisoft is acting like activision when they milk the AC series. Except worse because at least Activision was nice enough for CoD to be released yearly instead of two installments a year. Anyone remember Driver San Francisco? Now that was a pretty awesome Ubisoft game. Niobium
