TheGoodSgtScooter
They haven't re-used a single weapon model from IV, for beginners the DE doesn't even have that stupid camo patern. So it's not a retexture? I still think it's .357, that'd make the most since. And towards the minigun, wouldn't the weight of it offset the recoil a bit? Being .357 would make sense due to the 9 round magazine, however as the gun is clearly named the Pistol .50 as in 50 A.E rounds, R* have overlooked that it should have a 7 round magazine by default. r3h4n786
Knowing this game im surprised you didnt get a wanted level for shooting in an empty space They fixed it on Next Gen. You still get wanted level sometimes but police can't reach mountains. Nice! finally xD
XIantonioIX
Assault rifle is my favorite but on your video it looks different the way it reloads idk though.
toybasher
The way certain weapons reload are a bit iffy. The shotgun is reloaded by only inserting one shell, and with the grenade launcher he only removes and replaces one grenade. But then again, the shotguns in ALL of the games reloaded that way. I think in the GTA 3 era the shotguns didn't even use magazines and just had to be pumped after every shot. PowerKracker
Let's not question the minigun, the inclusion of a handheld minigun itself in the first place is an unrealistic concept... TheNooseMan
Really nice video , thanks ^^ Yep they reworked animations and it's really good I think, i like to think i'm playing arma III when in FPV.
CarnageRacing00
This might not be something that everyone is interested in, but Rockstar has definitely put a lot of attention and detail into the weapons of GTA V in comparison to older titles, even in the last gen version. And since we can now experience everything in first person I've put together a compilation of all the guns and reloads so everyone can admire the highly detailed models and animations! What's your favourite? Carbine Rifle all the way for me! Pistols - 0:01 SMGs and MGs - 1:46 Assault Rifles - 3:15 Sniper Rifles - 4:33 Shotguns - 5:28 Explosives - 6:53 Nice video, but I strongly recommend removing the music. It's a video about sound effects and the music really gets in the way.

The intended purpose of the video was to showcase the detail in the gun models and animations, however I did lower the volume to an extent where the gun sounds can be heard. I was considering using no music at first, but it made the video seem a lot more boring overall. Thanks for the feedback though! Crystal3lf
A .50 caliber Desert Eagle doesn't load 9 rounds damn it. And I think that a person who can fire a minigun from their hip can also fire a Desert Eagle without the damn thing going 90 degrees every time -.-' Do you have a problem with the railgun too? Maybe the handheld minigun? Perhaps the insane amount of weapons a single person can carry in their jean pockets? It's Grand Theft Auto. Not Arma. r3h4n786, Uncle Vlad and dyz
Wayne Daniels
Was going to start a new topic but I'll post it here instead. I made a video comparing the weapon sounds and reload animations from Grand Theft Auto 5 and Far Cry 4, and before anyone starts a war, yes they're two different games but they have the same guns, so it's fair, and that is ALL that is being compared here. I'd say way too much, that they forget to put more effort to make next gen version feel like well...next gen!
Wayne Daniels
Why are the reloads SO fast? It looks absolutely ridiculous.
Fallcreek
Why are the reloads SO fast? It looks absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, the fast reloads definitely bug me lol. I guess they cranked up the animation speed so firefights will be fast paced in GTA:O. They're noticably slower in single player. Officer Ronson
Why are the reloads SO fast? It looks absolutely ridiculous. Because maybe his skills are high, weapon reload time depends on how skilled the character is on firearms, this also effects their firepower and recoil. Precisely, that's why in my video I used Franklin in order to fire the weapons. He has the lowest base stat for shooting by default of all 3 characters, therefore his reload animations were slower and more smoother. also good video Wayne, quite an interesting comparison.
