MaxPayne47
This might not be something that everyone is interested in, but Rockstar has definitely put a lot of attention and detail into the weapons of GTA V in comparison to older titles, even in the last gen version. And since we can now experience everything in first person I've put together a compilation of all the guns and reloads so everyone can admire the highly detailed models and animations! What's your favourite? Carbine Rifle all the way for me! Pistols - 0:01SMGs and MGs - 1:46Assault Rifles - 3:15Sniper Rifles - 4:33Shotguns - 5:28Explosives - 6:53 Edited December 13, 2014 by MaxPayne47 mr quick, Andreas, Error2k and 7 others
RominOctane
Good vid, and the slow motion really help to see the amount of detail they put in these animation, even tho some of them go too fast ingame to be noticed.

universetwisters
On a similar note with the weapons, I'm a bit annoyed that the AK is made by Shrewsbury, an American gun manufacturer.
wiizardii
Good video. I think the carbine rifle was the best. Of course, this is a good step, I have always had problems with guns and reloads when it comes to GTA, especially in GTA IV with that cheap reload animation in wich Niko just racks the bolt thingy instead of taking out a mag on the M4, and sometimes he does, but the mag is still there, and it makes it look so stupid. Obviously, a problem even before GTA IV. ClaudeSpeed1911
TheDeaconBosco
They look great, shame that you don't get to add each shell individually when using Shotguns. Evan-KCR, ClaudeSpeed1911 and clevertrev

PowerKracker
On a similar note with the weapons, I'm a bit annoyed that the AK is made by Shrewsbury, an American gun manufacturer. The AK isn't an original one like in previous games but a clone, so it might as well be anything. The weapon manufacturers are still pretty limited, though. They could have come up with some clever Chinese sounding name (which would have also made sense for Bullpup Rifle, based off a Chinese weapon and explicitly stated to be Chinese in the description). I'm annoyed, and that goes back to the last gen version, that the Gusenberg Sweeper always has a drum magazine, whether it's upgraded or not - and it only makes sense capacity-wise when it's upgraded. They should have had it with a stick magazine by default, upgradable to drum. But damn, the Musket has a damn detailed animation here. Since they can be actually arsed to do those things I'm still hoping for a revolver in the future. It's like the antithesis to Team Fortress 2 (which has the laziest FPS gun animations in the world). woggleman
The only thing is that even though I love FPV I took the scope off all my weapons because I hate how it looks in FP. On last gen I put the scope on all the weapons. Z E N D E R

PoeticWhisper
I love the gun models and animations. Only problem I have with the guns in V is the sounds. I loved the sounds from GTA IV, they were so loud and crisp. In this game they sound like someone recorded themselves stubbing their toe. Maybe but they still look like plastic toys. Furthermore, the stats are wrong. Flat. Out. Wrong. A .50 caliber Desert Eagle doesn't load 9 rounds damn it. One I can think of the top of my head that does it properly is Counter-Strike, where a .50 AE Deagle actually has 7 rounds for once.

Kampret
The guns itself are animated beautifully, but my gripe is about character animations. Looks rather stiff, but it's more of a nitpick, and I'm trying to keep in mind that this is R*'s first official first person view game.
rest1
i am not played yet but sounds are really good if we compare gta 4 and elder gta games.
