Cant switch character on Xbox One! Stuck as Michael

Hello,

 

Can anyone help me with this issue. Im stuck at Michael in Story mode and cant continue. Everytime i hold the down button where you switch character it just zooms out of the map. I tried to go to online and switch character from there. I got the box where i could change and it loaded Frankling up. But when it was finished loading story mode again it turned up as Michael.

 

Anybody had similar issue?

Some people said they had success either phoning everyone on their contact list, or answering a phone call (usually from Lester), letting the story progress as normal.

 

There's also points single player where you can't switch for story reasons and have to complete main missions to stop that, but it seems like that's not the case for you.

Im not that far in the story and i only got 1 story mission at the moment. When i get to the location of the mission as Michael, it says i have to return as Franklin to play the mission. But i will try to call everyone on my phone. Thanks for answering

Problem solved. I called lester and he gave me a mission. After that mission i could play as normal and switch characters again.

I would like to share the resolution with you so that it could help others hence please post it on any blog for those who need resolution. Here are the steps. 1. I drove michael to the strip club 2. Michael enjoyed a private dance show. 3. It gave michael an option to touch the dancer while she was dancing. 4. Hence i touched the dancer while the bouncer was away and this indeed increased the like for the strip dancer on the like meter 5. Then i met the dancer privately behind the strip club which took michael to her house. 6. There michael had a nice time with the dancer. 7. When michael came out he received a call from dave for his new assignment and later i was able to switch characters. Thanks for all your support. I'm stuck as Trevor. First I couldn't change characters because Michael and Franklin were laying low after jewelry store heist. But eventually it didn't say that I couldn't switch characters anymore but it won't switch from Trevor. Any tips or ideas?
