Luckyhorse
The first problem with the sound, is that I can't hear things like my gun shooting, sirens near me, and people talking when I'm following or in the car with them. The audio settings are set to TV, but it's still not working. Secondly, I've raced Mary-Ann a few times with Michael, but afterwards, she just jogs in place while I hold my chest. No conversation, no medal, the only way to get out of it is to find some way to kill myself. I cheated by hopping the fence the first couple of times, but stopped to see if it fixed itself, but no luck. The biggest issue right now, is that my cell phone keeps hanging up. If I called a cab, there'd be silence, then my character would speak, then more silence, phone hangs up, cab eventually shows. I thought this was just another problem with the sound, but then I got to a part where Michael calls Lester after a mission. As soon as the phone connects, it hangs up. Then Michael calls him again, and it just repeats. It's really annoying, and I can't get it to stop. Solutions?
Biggie Kaniff
Sounds like your save file is messed up. I don't think there is a fix, you might have to start the story from the beginning again. I had to do that half way in once, the mission where Trevor and Michael were in hiding and Franklin went to Michaels house refused to start. Contacted the R* support but they said that my save file were corrupt. Made a new game and then everything worked. Not sure if deleting and re-installing everything except the save file will work, but it might do. I would start a new game and see if the same issue still occurs. If it doesn't then the problem is in your current save file.
Luckyhorse
I'm not too far in, so if I had to start over, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Hopefully I won't have to keep starting new games. Thanks! EDIT: I started a new game, but the problems with sound and not hearing/being able to answer calls are still there. r3h4n786
Are you playing on a disc? Do other games experience any audio issues? There may be a problem with the disc if its only happening in GTA V
Luckyhorse
We bought the CD and installed it on our xbox one, it's the only game I play so idk if it's the only one experiencing audio problems. Sometimes some sounds will fix themselves (temporarily). I deleted all save files and started over, but the problems are still there, would uninstalling and reinstalling it do anything? UshaB
Off topic here but, does Mary-Ann ever pick up the phone if you ring her, ever?
Solution Luckyhorse Posted December 17, 2014 Author Solution Share Posted December 17, 2014 (edited) I was having trouble with the phone calls and didn't get a chance to call her, but I got a hold of Rockstar and they helped me fix it.
