Plays as female character - gets run down?

Or maybe there are just different types of players and it has almost nothing to do with you or your character's sex

I get the exact same crap on my female char as well, and it seems to be worse when they see me in my Turismo. or on my Hakuchou. Some pricks think that they can rock up to a female, honk their horn and the female avatar will get in. Then they feel rejected and decide that thuy must be allowed to kill you by running you over. If you manage to headshot them (as they deserve), that just makes it worse.

 

Net result for me - you will never see me in an open session anymore, I use invite only sessions.

Noooo. You're missing out. I'll never attack anyone unprovoked, but tools like the ones you described provide guaranteed, guilt-free provocation... At times, having a powerful female character is like reverse trolling or something.

I beat a group of young males at golf as my female character, started off with them being just horny teenagers catcalling but by the end they were incredibly/hilariously upset and trying to be vicious and mean about it... basically I am pretty sure I ruined their day by beating them as a girl. They all decided to try and grief me after, having loaded into golf in passive mode and therby loading out in passive mode so they couldn't do anything was priceless.

I remember when i played on 360 with ill audio (anyone seen him btw?) with his female character and often he'd get hit on or attacked for being female... It was fun to see and hear reactions when people heard his voice lol

Don't see the big deal with this gender thing. I've gotten friend requests from females, accepted them, and just went about playing like normal.

 

 

Another thing I find funny is how a majority of you are calling the harassers kids and teens. No, its all of the above. Kids, teens, and grown men. Don't kid yourself thinking a 25 yr old won't talk to a female playing Gta online.

Or, you get invited to someones apartment, or someone asks to come to yours, you decline, you get camped for the next hour.

 

What happened to my crew on snow day:

 

6 of them were gathered up in Off-Road vehicles ready to hit snowy Chilliad. Suddenly a random comes and out of good will given the weather, they don't fire their weapons. The random joined them on their Off-Road cruise, sitting in one of my friend's vehicles.

 

Suddenly, the random changed the radio to Radio Los Santos (disgusting rap) and my friend immediately changed it back. The random then threw a sticky bomb that blew 3 crew members up. He couldn't hold his typical GTA caveman thinking of destroying everything in sight so we killed him until he left the lobby and then proceeded to climb Mt. Chilliad. It was beautiful.

 

TL:DR Random attacks you because you didn't let him change your radio station.

Yup, when I play as my female char I get LOTS of apartment invites, friend requests and such. And players sometimes also want me to get into their car and get angry when I don't. Sometimes I even get friend/apartment requests the second I'm loaded into the session (it's like they have some sort of program that filters out female chars and automatically sends apartment requests )

 

Noticed that as well, persistant some of them are too. I once had a guy send an apartment invite which I rejected, then another, then another. I then went and did a race taking about 5 mins, when I came back the invites restarted.

I swear this happens and it occurs only to my female character. During missions we're all running to our personal vehicles and someone invites me into his supercar (while playing female). I don't get in and go to my own instead and said guy tries running me down. Happens more in freeroam too!

 

Pretty funny though.

Been playing as my female character and haven't had this issue yet, if they did do that, I would block them straight away so I never have to play with them again. I think they would run your male character down as well. Anyone who screws with me gets blocked straight away and this limits the turds I play with, works very well for me and I end up with decent players.

 

I did however get kicked out of a survival and I was convinced it was because of my female character as there was no reason for it and it had just started.

If I blocked every dude that killed me for not getting in their car I'd probably end up losing half of every lobby. *shrugs* I've come to expect it now. If people come up to me honking and I choose not to get in their car I turn on Passive and walk along walls.

 

But hey, there've been thousands of threads about the same thing: female = look at how differently females get treated. Doesn't bother me now, sometimes I get treated differently and sometimes I don't. Either way I'll probably end up getting attacked just like everyone else. I have been in a similar situation when one of those creepy bastards killed me when I killed A FRIEND: We started attacking each other for fun, I killed her 3 times in a row, then he came and killed me. At first I thought she was going to be his next victim but no, when I respawned I saw his blip stayed right next to her and texted me to leave her alone. She texted him that we were friends but I killed him anyway, white knights deserve it. It would have been way better if she was the one who killed him, though. It would have broken his heart.

I invite random ppl to my appartment everytime I join a sesh. Then get them all in my garage... then in the Sulatan, then take them to ammunation.

 

They don't make it inside the shop however.

YEP, my female character receives apt and car ride invites all the time while my male character does not. I usually find it amusing though. She does get attacked for rejecting a ride of course, which has come to be expected, but its usually only annoying if it happens when I'm in the middle of trying to accomplish something. If a fellow female character offers a ride, I usually take up the offer because its a rare occurrence. Surviving together is more fun.

Funny thing is before they can even get the chance to run me over, i turn them and their car into a burning pile of wreckage. Anybody that comes near me instantly gets blasted, i aint trusting no fools in free roam.

I too have found that players are somewhat nicer to me while I'm on my female character.
