Just because some accouts that violate TOS aren't banned means that all accounts that violate TOS shouldn't be.

 

Rockstar can in fact ask YT to ban someone. Any company can ask YT to ban or edit a video where they think copyright infringement is happening. That's where the pressure to look into banning Dom came from, and he's banned for spamming, so don't get your panties in a bunch.

 

And I don't know how you managed to go pull off a moral-superiority statement on this. We're both breaking rules by being off-topic. We just happen not to be reporting each other like snitches.

Had you bothered to read my original post, you wouldn't ask that question.

 

And you do, if R* got his account banned, then that bodes ill for ANYONE, because it's establishing the concept that a singular entity, like a corporation can affect you entire online presence and not just the content that they have legal ownership of. IF Dom actually posted some insider leaked info of R*'s content, they have the right to request that content to be removed from YT because it's their content, they own it, and they are excercising that right.

 

Kind of like when you see videos of music or something on YT, and you get that 'a copyright claim has been filed and content removed' warning on those videos when they are removed, because those artists, or more specifically those legal entites are excercising their rights over their property, which is fine.

 

but they generally don't get entire account banned as a result, and in that regard have no legal authority to do so.

 

THAT is where I'm concerned, is that R* may have actually gotten YT to capitulate to corporate arm twisting to go one step further.

 

Of course this all on the assumption that it really was R*

 

as it's been said, there is a possibility that Dom may have done this himself for publicity, or even futher there may be another more mundane reason.

That kid must be lost, they both have misleading thumbnails, titles and tags, they used to have spamtags in their title and description, they've used clips and pictures from others without permission from the owners and they've probably done much more sh*t in the past so it actually makes perfect sense.

It's a shame they both own a farm with sheeps that will do anything for them.

let me explain why this is a good thing. most people who subscribe to gaming channels, especially channels that cater to 12 year old squeakers, dont actually watch every video. domthedumbass had 500k subscribers, but his average video would get about 50k to 75k views. most kids just subscribe to a channel that they like and only come back once in a while, if at all. so even if domthedipsh*t makes a new channel, it'll take a very long time for him to climb back up to 500k subs. get the picture?

Im fully aware of this,but the problem lies with his gang which has a sh*t ton of subs.They will promote his new channel to get him going again even if only a small % sub him he will still get a foot hold again this time next year he will be back to were he was at.
